ACor58 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 really puts the Lynch trade in persepctive - Nix and Co. really f'd it up.
fakeeyed Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 hold on...what? hall of fame wide receiver randy moss just got moved for a third. a randy moss that opposing defenses still have to game plan for. i really don't get how anyone could say the lynch deal wasn't decent value. a player is only worth what other teams are willing to give for them. it's delusional to spout bull **** about what they could have received.
Doc Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 The Pats overpaid. But hey, maybe the HGH will help Branch stay healthy.
truth on hold Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 branch and brady are in sync ... nice move by pats. they get a WR that could be as productive as Moss, and trade up from a 4th to a 3rd

Lynch is 24 with 3 years remaining on his contract. Moss is 33 and seeking a long-term deal. Had the Bills unloaded him during the draft (when the rumor was that Seattle offered a 3rd) or before the 2010 Fire Sale they could have gotten more for him. They could have waited for the deadline and got more for him. Jeff Littman should be set on fire.

Green Lightning Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 The Pats overpaid. But hey, maybe the HGH will help Branch stay healthy. Pats are glutted with picks. They can afford to overpay.
truth on hold Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 In what universe? 2 years younger than Moss, Brady loves him, Super Bowl MVP ... what else do you need to know?
justnzane Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 2 years younger than Moss, Brady loves him, Super Bowl MVP ... what else do you need to know? you have to be on quaaludes to think that Deion Branch is half the weapon that Moss.

DanInUticaTampa Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 you have to be on quaaludes to think that Deion Branch is half the weapon that Moss. Branch can be better than Moss when moss is dogging it. They are probably better off with Branch because the negative moss has been creeping around latley.
truth on hold Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 you have to be on quaaludes to think that Deion Branch is half the weapon that Moss. In rhe Pats system he could me more so, especially since Moss' production was on the decline
buffaloaggie Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 really puts the Lynch trade in persepctive - Nix and Co. really f'd it up. Seattle did get a bargain. When will the Bills trade for a bargain? I think the last one they pulled off was Leonard Smith.
Thud Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 What would you prefer they trade for? My bet is regardless we woulda been ripped off huh? Oh well its done and we can complain this spring about what a horrible pick it was we got in return and declare iy a bust prior to the start of the season.
The Big Cat Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Yes, Bills dumb, Pats* smart. Are you kidding me!? What is New England doing!? These guys have lost their minds!

Oh well its done and we can complain this spring about what a horrible pick it was we got in return and declare iy a bust prior to the start of the season. Judging from the last 10 years, unless we take a CB in the 4th, it will pretty much be a bust. Easley and Nelson...the jury's obviously still out. Marcus Easley Shawn Nelson Reggie Corner Derek Fine Dwayne Wright Ko Simpson Duke Preston Tim Euhus Terrence McGee Sam Aiken Brandon Spoon
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) really puts the Lynch trade in persepctive - Nix and Co. really f'd it up. i think a 3rd and 5th would have been good. (for lynch that is) but...if branch can fetch a 4th, what could lee evans bring us in a trade? Edited October 12, 2010 by Wilson from Gamehendge
billsintaiwan Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 marshawn lynch is a two strikes guy. nobody was going to give up the farm. get over it.
bowery4 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I really don't get this thread? How is this comparable except that we both got a 4th. And BTW Marshawn Lynch was gone at the end of THIS year http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/bills/2007-07-27-bills-sign-lynch_N.htm http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/10/05/pete-carroll-wont-waste-any-time-using-marshawn-lynch/
