Magox
When the W.H came out with this ridiculous and hypocritical claim I was hoping that the Chamber of Commerce and Rove's group would come out saying something along the lines of: "Well, in response to the hypocritical claim of the W.H, we have decided to add in another $10M to this election cycle". I really was thinking that yesterday, well, here is what happened today: http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/124027-rove-backed-group-raised-13m-since-facing-attack-from-obama The GOP-aligned American Crossroads said Wednesday it has raised over $13 million since coming under attack from President Obama. The group and its campaign affiliate, Crossroads GPS, said it had easily surpassed its initial fundraising goal of $50 million to spend on behalf of Republicans, and has increased its target to $65 million, according to spokesman Jonathan Collegio. Collegio said the attacks had only driven interest in the group's activities, and that the increased fundraising would allow Crossroads to spend an additional $10 million in House races, and $5 million more in Senate races. And the Chamber's response: The Chamber, also in light of Democratic attacks, vowed only to "ramp up" its political activities in the closing weeks of the campaign. Talk about backfiring. Somewhere I'm sure there are some vulnerable Democrats who are fighting for their political lives saying to the W.H "Way to go dip-*****.... I'm !@#$ed"

Somewhere I'm sure there are some vulnerable Democrats who are fighting for their political lives saying to the W.H "Way to go dip-*****.... I'm !@#$ed" I'm sure it's not somewhere, but everywhere, and, the swing district/state Congress people have have been saying that on every single issue for the last 2 years. How many more "initiatives" from Democrats, that end up getting them the exact opposite of what they intend, is it going to take before they realize that they have the wrong methods? Who knows? But honestly, these are the same people that handled gay marriage, so what do you expect?
IDBillzFan
Talk about backfiring. Y'know, it is increasingly amazing to me that they continue down this road. The end result is so astonishingly obvious that I can't tell if they somehow are purposely poisoning the well for some big hit later, or if they're so desperate to get their base motivated for Nov 2 that they'll throw them this red meat in spite of it's obvious end result. They went after Bush, and his ratings soared. They went after Rush, and his ratings soared. They went after Fox, and their ratings soared. They went after Boehner and it failed because no one really knows who he is. They go after Rove and the COC, and they get money piling in. I've been more than critical of this administration's incompetence this year, but this is downright connerific, where you're not sure if they're really that stupid, or it's all just one big joke. In all honesty, it comes down to money. They aren't getting money from independents anymore. They have effectively cut themselves off from all business money(did it to themselves, again), even though they enjoyed a serious advantage on Wall Street. They aren't even getting money from George Soros The only people giving them money are the absolute wingnuts. + "Money controls the message." = Obama etc. are speaking wingnut now. There's no shortage of Hollywood producer types, Upper West Side trust fund babies, and feminazis that want to outlaw straight sex. Yeah, these people have a lot in common with the "average American" and the "middle class". They will never admit they are wrong about socialism, belong to the Church of Environtology, and want every non-white male to be entitled to everything. They will pay gobs of cash to defend their nonsense to the last Congressional seat. Their voices are who you are hearing now. Enjoy. Edit: meanwhile, reasonable Democrats whose focus really is on the middle class, protecting American jobs, protecting American interests abroad, looking out for the poor, and making sure we don't play favorites anywhere....are about to get chucked. This country is currently being run by a bunch of adolescents. When their feelings are hurt or they're embarrassed (see current polls) they become irrational and lash out. You know it's officially become real bad when the liberal media turns against the golden child.
Magox
Remember we talked about this desperate claim from the W.H backfiring? Glenn Beck appears to have overwhelmed the servers at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce by calling for his radio listeners to make today the “largest day of fundraising for the Chamber of Commerce, ever.” The call was in reaction to Democrats’ accusations that the Chamber has been paying for ads attacking Democrats with foreign money. He kicked off the giving by donating $10,000 on the air. The Blaze’s Jonathon M. Seidl reported the U.S. Chamber emailed in response to Beck’s call, asking donors to use a different link that was better equipped to handle the high volume of transactions. “I would like this to be the largest day of fundraising for the Chamber of Commerce ever,” Beck said. While calling for action on air Thursday morning, Beck walked his readers through the donation process and pledged a $10,000 gift to the organization. “Let’s break all records. Let’s show these people that we actually believe in something different than what Barack Obama and Joe Biden are saying,” Beck said, after explaining that the Chamber is “fighting” for small businesses. “They are us,” he said of the Chamber. “Put your money where you mouth is.”
3rdnlng
Remember we talked about this desperate claim from the W.H backfiring? Every time the White House opens its mouth and goes after someone it backfires on them. There's got to be just multitudes of people pissed off at them. All that it is doing is throwing their own party member politicians under the bus. I hope they keep it up.
