RkFast
Um...correct me if Im wrong, but last I checked, and as was we were ALL reminded this week, length of contract means NOTHING in the NFL. So why is everyone up in arms over the four years thing? No way Kelsay sees the end of this deal. He knew it when he signed, his agent did, and the Bills did. Im not defending the Kelsay deal, mind you.....just trying to understand why contract lenght is whats getting so many upset.
The Senator
It's the 'river-of-slime' running under TSW again...pure concentrated evil...
bobblehead
True, I wouldn't look at the 4 years part of the contract as meaning anything. Kelsay can still get cut next summer.
chris heff
Sign him to a four year extension, bench him, then cut him. I sense a pattern.
Rob's House
Does anyone know how much guaranteed money is involved?
BuffaloATL
IMO, the problems people are having with his deal are as follwos: 1) Amount/year. $6 million/year?!!!! Guessing he wouldn't get nearly that much on the open market. Why pay him that much? That money could have been used to, I don't know, sign a decent LT in the offseason?!! 2) Even if the contract were for $1/year, people wouldn't want him on the team. He clearly isn't suited for OLB in the 3-4. The length doesn't bother me. It's the fact that they thought enough of what they saw on the field to do this deal at all!
