Just Jack Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I've got an older version of this cooler.... Coleman PowerChill™ Hot/Cold Thermoelectric Cooler Plug it in the cigarette lighter in your vehicle and set it to "heat" mode. I've never used heat mode, just cool, but it's nice to have when traveling.

The Senator Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 I am making pulled pork for the game on Sunday. We are leaving Rochester at 8AM and will probably eat around 11Am. Any thoughts on keeping it warm and or heating it at the game that would not require me to bring a grill. You already have everything you need, except a copy of 'Manifold Destiny' - since you probably can't get one by Sunday, The Senator will help you... You can preview here - Google Books - Manifold Destiny If that looks useful, you can obtain the 'Kindle' version here - Manifold Destiny - Kindle Version (Amazon) And you can download free software to read any 'Kindle' books on your PC - Kindle for PC That's really 'the bible' for cooking on your engine, but if you don't want to go thru all the downloading stuff, you might find some ideas here - Manifold-ish destiny i.e. cooking in your car or here - Cooking an Environmentally Friendly Meal on Your Car Engine Good luck, and... GO BILLSSS!!!! Cheers
West End Stench Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Leave it in a hot crock pot. If you unplug it just before you leave the house, the contents should stay plenty warm until you want to eat. If you have access to a warmer bag, similar to that of a pizza place, then take advantage of that too.
Dr. Fong Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Just got assigned chicken skewers for this weekend. Anyone have a good marinade recipe for these?
ET1062 Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 hot crock pot. Get a cigarette lighter adaptor so you can plug it in. I did the pulled pork crock pot for the opener. Sooo good.

GO BILLSSS!!!! Cheers I have a Kindle so consider it done Also, make this sauce a day or two in advance. You can thank me after the tailgate. 1 quart cider vinegar 12 oz Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 1 T red pepper flakes 2 T salt 1 tsp black pepper 2 T Worchestershire sauce Juice of one lemon 1 T chipotle powder 1 tsp dry mustard 1 T onion powder Bring to the boil, then simmer for 10-15 minutes. Let cool, and bottle. I am going to try this Matty - but I might try Uncle Ralph's (which I could drink out of a glass) instead of Sweet Baby Rays (which I also like).
