Big Turk Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 perhaps they can trade their 1st round pick for Trent Edwards this offseason and say he learned so much and he is a changed man...hahaha
evilbuffalobob Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Could there be a trade in the works?
Pilsner Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 This is on par with the Cornell Green signing. Maybe even worse. This is one move I just don't get.
LabattBlue Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 The thought of Kelsay blowing Ralph is a very disturbing image, but there is just no other way to explain this.
basskik11 Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I agree. I think the article is citing "veteren leadership" or something like that but c'mon now. He's not a BAD player, but he definitely doesn't fit the 3-4 scheme. He's a back up 4-3 DL at best. The Bills don't pay big time free agents, but they are willing to pay an unproven vet? If the rumors are true and it's 4 yrs at $24 mil, i'm gonna puke.
BuffaloBaumer Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I am going to really need a Jimmy V speech if there is not a trade in the works to package with Lynch because I am definitely about to give up............
NewEra Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Just when we think we're heading in the right direction....BAM!!! We're heading right back to lunacy
tbonestake Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) He must have pictures in his possession of Ralph in the hyperbaric chamber that keeps him alive. Those are quite a bargaining chip. How else can this be explained? Edited September 29, 2010 by tbonestake
BillsFanM.D. Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Like the rest of you...I'm completely baffled by this move...I just don't know what to say... ...don't know what to say...how bout this.. "You've got to be stevestojaning me!" I seriously cannot make any sense of this. I don't think anyone on this board would have HONESTLY been surprised had he been cut recently. Now, we're extending him....
....lybob Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I have never understood the Bills seemingly vast love of Kelsay- he was a barely adequate DE and at OLB he's painful to watch- when you add in his age and the real possibility of a lock out next season extending him seems inexplicable- of course for me the Bills do 4 or 5 inexplicable things a year for at least the last 10 years.
NewEra Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Maybe we plan on scraping the 3-4... Dunno what the thought process could be. Kelsey is incapable of being a starting Olb in the 3-4. Maybe we can just play nickel and dime 24/7
Big Turk Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 He must have pictures in his possession of Ralph in the hyperbaric chamber that keeps him alive. Those are quite a bargaining chip. How else can this be explained? He has pictures of Ralph walking around in nothing but his Depends with a baby rattle in his hand...
Bill from NYC Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Sometimes it gets so bizzare that it feels as if they are taunting us.
McBeane Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Could there be a trade in the works? Kelsay signing an extension made you think that there may be a trade coming? How did you manage to jump that gap?
Rob's House Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Even if they want to keep him this doesn't make sense. Were they afraid of losing him in a bidding war?

joejoebills Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 As much as i dislike this move it's exactly what nix said he had in mind for this team from day one when he wanted us to become a "Big physical team" Kelsay is big and kinda physical? I just hope for the best. Go Bills
muffmonster Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 You realize this may be the one thread in the entire existence of TBD where everyone is in agreement.
freester Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 by resigning Kelsay to an absurd amount of money, Buddy Nix has proven himself completely incompetent. Nix must go. There is no hope with Buddy Nix in charge.
