Trying to remember, did the Bills try this guy out after he tore up the CFL? He's doing pretty well for the Dolphins.

IIRC, he got more money from Miami. Wasn't a substantial deal by any means.

Yes, IIRC the Bills and Dolphins were the only 2 two trams that went after him, but he unfortunately chose Miami.

yep it was between buffalo and miami and at the time miami's scheme fit him better plus... it was miami.

 

too bad. i was all about signing this guy but it didn't happen. we could use him. better than maybin (ain't sayin much)

They did. Wake chose the Dolphins, apparently because of the pay but I had heard the Bills' and Miami's offers were equal. Seems a shame, but you can't fault Wake for choosing warm weather and a more successful organization and front office. The Bills have to take more good gambles like this, though, and offer to pay top dollar.

He was also at least 5 years older than Maybin and had several years of playing pro ball before he entered the NFL. This is a huge advantage.

He look pretty good tonight, as much as I hate the Dolphins I hope they beat these damn Jets!
