Chalkie Gerzowski
TD: During his first year here he broke at least 10 passing records as a Bill and he went to the Pro Bowl. Since that time, he has played winning football a vast majority of the time and has gotten way too much criticism when our team has struggled. Just this year, to give you an example, in 10 of our 12 games Drew has scored 90 percent or better in his performance. 149390 Shumwon pleesh translate dis inter Engrish pleesh. KOKBILLS
The ONLY person in this thread who is 100% right is the Guest who said that anyone who thinks TD would say anything other than that is a total moron. This thread is ridiculous. What do you expect TD to say in an email correspondence published on BB.com? More importantly, who the hell cares what he says in that context? Why don't we wait until the offseason to see what ACTUALLY HAPPENS before engaging in this waste of bandwith... 149625 Look, I'm not an idiot, I know TD is going to praise Bledsoe on BB.com...But telling us how priviledged we are to have DB, and calling Bledsoe a HOF QB is completely over-the-top...You would swear the guy had led us to consecutive SB wins if you read that crap and did not know better... I for one hate that phony, over the top bull****...And I do think it's worth discussing because rediculous over-statements like that make me wonder if TD thinks we as Bills Fans are a bunch of mindless idiots...I mean 6 Weeks ago we had lost 20 of the previous 30 Games and Bledsoe barely had a 70 QB Rating in that span, and I'm privileged??? Like I said, I'm as happy as anyone the Bills turned it around this year like they have...But a few good Games by Bledsoe and TD is ready to put him in Canton...whatever... The guy would have made a hell of a Used Car Saleman...B)
ExWNYer
It is amazing that some people that call themselfs fans can sit and accept this sh-- so lightly. We have total moron for a GM that thinks a guy that is not even an average NFL QB is a HOF type QB. but hey you bledsonians are going to get your wish. 149397 Good God...chill out already! BTW, it's THEMSELVES, not THEMSELFS. I don't think you're in any position to be calling anyone a moron.

BuffaloBob
Ahhh, nothing like the comforting self-delusion, reinforced by tautology and circular logic to make a guy feel good, eh ICE? So how long has it taken you to create this little of world of yours, anyway? I love these threads! Nothing more entertaining than watching a guy call everyone who doesn't agree with him a moron and a retard. The only thing funnier is the fact that he is, in his own mind, dead right. Oh, actually there is one thing funnier. It's reading the posts of those few people that actually think he is making sense! Oh, BTW, there is nothing gratuitous and over-the-top about TDs praise for Bledose. The guy has handled himself with class and dignity on and off of the field the entire time he's been here. And he HAS played winning football in most of his games. He just hasn't had a lot of help from his teammates or coaching staffs until recently. This team has made great progress under the circumstances, and will finish strong down the stretch. Drew will come in as the designated starter next year, and JP will move up to second. The team will come out like gangbusters next year, and will be right in the thick of things. Those who cannot understand that this is a team game will slowly fade (or in the case of ICE, will make another complete reversal of position) as this team becomes a contender for the foreseeable future. JP will come in well-schooled, and it will be a reasonably smooth transition. In the meantime, keep 'em coming, ICE. Nothing serves up a laugh better than indignant arrogance founded on ignorance and delusion.

BenchBledsoe
Ya know, I seriously doubt a GM who drafted McGahee when we had a perpetual 1300 yard RB, would look at this pathetic output at QB and not favor the rookie who he drafted in the 1st round and traded up for! I think he is simply saying the right things to the press and the fans. TD doesnt wear rose collored glasses and the McGahee draft pick proves it. 149439 I don't agree with DB being annointed the starter next year. . . but what the hell are you talking about the McGahee pick bad for? Travis Henry is a pig. Willis will be a top 5 RB next year. You are WAY off the mark with that nonsense comment.
Guest Guest
i think the point about rose colored glasses was to say that TD wasn't looking at his team in a biased view; he was able to recognize that while Travis was in fact a very good running back, Willis could elevate the running game to another level. JP-Era is pointing out that there was no way TD said anything to the press or fans undercutting Henry before the draft, and even while McGahee was injured. His explanation was of a player that was "too good to pass up", not "Travis isn't the superstar back we're looking for."
MrJaimie
Someday? Amazing how wins over sub .500 teams seem to make everyone forget how DB has played the last 2.75 years, Fuggin Amazing 149712 Amazing, you're still talking about Bledsoe. BillnutinHouston
THIS JUST IN - Football is a TEAM game, not simply a QB duel every week. Some of our wins have been stellar defensive efforts, some wins were due to the offense, & some were a mix. To view the QB as the SOLE determinant of the team's prospects for success is overly simplistic and misguided. Some points to ponder: - In how many of our wins this year was DB outplayed by the opposing QB? - Consider the Ravens' SB victory with Dilfer at the helm. Was Dilfer superior to DB? Those who practice scapegoating only end up betraying their lack of football knowledge.

Campy
Well it takes an even bigger moron to actually think that TD is going to say anything different than what he said. Regardless of how great or how poor he really thinks DB is doing, the public is going to hear nothing but praise. Does TD go out of his way more than some teams to praise his players when maybe they shouldn't be getting praise? Maybe some teams are qucker to critisize, but what good does it do the team if he does anything other than praise his players. It amazes me how many people who feel that the front office or any type of manager is obligated to tell 110% of the truth even when it hurts his own team. You must have loved that movie a couple years ago Bullwick or something like that? Where the guy campaining for office told people exactly what he really think. It's amazing people this dumb know how to use a computer! 149436 Bullworth with Warren Beatty - great film. And I agree with you regarding the comments of a company executive commenting on his charges. Sounds like a bunch of people need to hit Borders and pick up a copy of "Leadership for Dummies." You NEVER blast people in the organization to outsiders. Issues should be handled internally.
BillsSouth
I really don´t believe this thread has reached four pages. Come on, you can´t take what Donahoew says at face value! It´s obvious he has to say nice things about his starting QB. As someone here said, when the season´s over, we´ll see if he has faith in Bledsoe or not. I say Bledsoe´s ass will be glued to the bench next season, playoffs or no. Especially if he has a couple bad games from now on.
USMCBillsFan
Please?"Bud (Hamburg, NY): With Drew Bledsoe finally starting to look like the Drew Bledsoe of two years ago and the team winning, is what the Jets did with Pennington/Testaverde…drafting a young QB and letting him watch and learn for a full two years while the veteran played…a direction the Bills could be considering come 2005? Would the organization consider letting a No. 1 pick not play until 2006 if Bledsoe continues to impress? TD: We have been very privileged over the last couple of years in this organization and as football fans in Buffalo to be exposed to Drew Bledsoe. Drew is a Hall of Fame quarterback and is an even better person. He has brought so much to our team and to our community and organization. When we were really struggling several years ago, Drew brought instant credibility to our team and our offense. During his first year here he broke at least 10 passing records as a Bill and he went to the Pro Bowl. Since that time, he has played winning football a vast majority of the time and has gotten way too much criticism when our team has struggled. Just this year, to give you an example, in 10 of our 12 games Drew has scored 90 percent or better in his performance. This type of effort is a winning effort. We are very lucky to have Drew Bledsoe as our quarterback and our young quarterback, J.P. Losman, is very lucky to be a situation where he can learn from one of the best in the game. " You are fuggin kidding me right? he is a fuggin HOF QB? On what God Damn planet? Not this one! In 10 of 12 games he has scored 90% or better in his performance? Even the most ardent Bledsonian MUST raise the BS flag. Well there ya have it folks. JP will be sitting next year as well. We are screwed beyond belief. Maybe we can be a superbowl contender in say 2008-2009? :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: 149390 I thought you were done bitching and whinning??? I guess two days was all you could take.
