BillnutinHouston Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 OK, so far I've seen Maybin go VERY wide around the LT and get ridden far away from the QB, and I've seen him today go constantly DIRECTLY into the LT (once with a spin move) but never coming close to beating his man let alone sniffing the QB. Does Maybin have anything else? What has this guy been working on all summer?
CodeMonkey Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 What has this guy been working on all summer? His hair and spending his first rounder paycheck.
thebug Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 The invisible man. You would think he could find his way to the QB?
Punch Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 What has this guy been working on all summer? -his hair -twitter responses -theoretical sack celebrations -spending the money he "ain't f***ing earned yet!" -madden 2011 online (for XBox 360) -updating his Netflix queue -posing for mobile phone self portraits -ignoring pass coverage responsibilities to dart past a pulling guard and flail at the feet of the QB after he release the ball to a back on a screen for a big gain
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 But, Chan said he is a pass rushing specialist.
muffmonster Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 But, Chan said he is a pass rushing specialist. His play certainly is "special"....
GR8PRKN Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 But, Chan said he is a pass rushing specialist. Yep he is the perfect specialist for a LT they love him ...... And he does not know how to strap his helmet on..
Lofton80 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 While he has a long way to go, it did seem he was being held a couple of times in the second half.
Punch Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 While he has a long way to go, it did seem he was being held a couple of times in the second half. If he's going to get held it should be to console him after another disappointing performance.
Boatdrinks Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 While he has a long way to go, it did seem he was being held a couple of times in the second half. Please. All PR's get held, you have to fight through it. This guy can't. Matt Light isn't what he once was, but he was toying with Maybin. The only "move" Maybin should be making is to another career. His time in the NFL will be very short. It's not too early to say bust with Maybin. He's completely invisible except when he lines up offsides, which he seems to do at least once a game.
outsidethebox Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 It's hard rushing the QB in the NFL.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Maybin should roam the line in a standup position and play as a LB .,not as a 225 lb DE.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 -his hair -twitter responses -theoretical sack celebrations -spending the money he "ain't f***ing earned yet!" -madden 2011 online (for XBox 360) -updating his Netflix queue -posing for mobile phone self portraits -ignoring pass coverage responsibilities to dart past a pulling guard and flail at the feet of the QB after he release the ball to a back on a screen for a big gain -hiring Corey Moore as his mentor.
True Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Please don't slag our best run-stuffer... He is a sack machine! B.
FistingBot Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Maybin was credited with 4 tackles today... monster game by his standards! Clearly this guy is worth $18 million over 5 years.
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Well now we know why the coaches are so high on Bell because he faces Maybin each practice. Guy can make anyone look like Munoz!!!
Captain Hindsight Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I doubt he is on the roster next year. Sad but i agree....
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Maybin should roam the line in a standup position and play as a LB .,not as a 225 lb DE. Maybe if he hides behind Whitner in the secondary... The guy was a high first-round pick who has made no impact whatsoever. He was drafted as a defensive lineman, where one has to beat the guy they are lined up against at least half the time to be considered average. All this stuff about getting his hand off the ground and playing different positions is nothing but blowing smoke to hide that the guy is a huge liability on the field. The only question now is how long and how much the Bills are planning to extend him.
