Sorry if this has already been posted, but two questions exist upon reading this article: (1) who are they talking to; and (2) what would the Bills get in return.

I'm guessing the Raiders or Cardinals are the answer to #1 (I can't tink of another team that needs a mediocre QB as an upgrade). No clue what we would get in return, most likely not 3rd rounder, which is what we spent on him.

Thoughts?!?

The only way he gets traded is if a team determines that the Bill's horrendously sub-standard talent is the main reason why Edwards struggled.

Otherwise, I can't fathom why anyone who give up something for someone who will be released.

...but BILL WALSH HIMSELF endorsed Trent!! whaa???

There is no NFL HC/executive, or GM who is perfect with their talent projections. Not Polian, Finks, or Belichick. None. Trent did not live up to expectations, but Walsh's legacy will endure forever in the annals of the NFL. I know many on this board operate only in absolutes, but Walsh's credibility doesn't take a big hit because Edwards didn't succeed. The man won 3 SB's and set up two others while designing the WCO that many teams use today.

I did not know NFL teams could trade with CFL teams. Edwards, a couple thousand wings and a dozen cases of Genny Cream Ale Pounders to the Argos for a 12th round pick in the 2011 CFL Draft.
