Chilly Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 From Adam Schefter's Twitter: Adam_Schefter Buffalo Bills shopping QB Trent Edwards. http://is.gd/fu78E half a minute ago via web

RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 YEAH, I'M SURE WE'LL FETCH A KING'S RANSOM FOR AN INJURY PRONE QB WHO CANT MANAGE TO STAY HEALTHY OR KEEP HIS JOB. WHADYA SAY? CAN'T HEAR YA!
Chilly Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 BTW, it looks like Schefter got his link wrong on twitter. Here's the real story from espn.com: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5618325
bizell Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 if buddy gets a 6th he is executive of the year ...but BILL WALSH HIMSELF endorsed Trent!! whaa???
RyanC883 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5618325 Sorry if this has already been posted, but two questions exist upon reading this article: (1) who are they talking to; and (2) what would the Bills get in return. I'm guessing the Raiders or Cardinals are the answer to #1 (I can't tink of another team that needs a mediocre QB as an upgrade). No clue what we would get in return, most likely not 3rd rounder, which is what we spent on him. Thoughts?!?
LABills08 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 The only way he gets traded is if a team determines that the Bill's horrendously sub-standard talent is the main reason why Edwards struggled. Otherwise, I can't fathom why anyone who give up something for someone who will be released.
bowery4 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 LOL you posted that while I was reading the other one which was at the top and is now number 2 on the the page, how the ______ could you not see it?
billsfan in n.h Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 na na na na, na na na na , hey hey goodbye
Beerball Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Shopping Edwards? Sorry, thought this was a Walmart thread.
Green Lightning Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Can't see anyone giving up much if anything at this point. I'd cut him and move on if no team bites. Agree on bringing back Levi.
Charles Romes Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 If this works maybe we can re-sign Kirk chambers and deal him as well.
BillsVet Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 ...but BILL WALSH HIMSELF endorsed Trent!! whaa??? There is no NFL HC/executive, or GM who is perfect with their talent projections. Not Polian, Finks, or Belichick. None. Trent did not live up to expectations, but Walsh's legacy will endure forever in the annals of the NFL. I know many on this board operate only in absolutes, but Walsh's credibility doesn't take a big hit because Edwards didn't succeed. The man won 3 SB's and set up two others while designing the WCO that many teams use today.
kasper13 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I did not know NFL teams could trade with CFL teams. Edwards, a couple thousand wings and a dozen cases of Genny Cream Ale Pounders to the Argos for a 12th round pick in the 2011 CFL Draft.
jr1 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 We will get a "slightly used" kicking tee for him
