GRHater69 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 (edited) Anybody remember the NBC opening credits for football in the early 70s? They had some pretty cool theme music for that, unfortunately I can't seem to find any info anywhere on what it was called. I doubt it was from NFL Films. Edited to say I found it: To bad so much of the montage was dedicated to the Dolphins, but they were SB champs back in those days. Edited September 26, 2010 by GRHater69
rafter Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I like this one myself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gte5RPziaIU

You can see Franco Harris in there making a long run against the Bills at War Memorial Stadium. I was at that game, where OJ ran for a 94-yard t.d.

crazyDingo Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Those songs are nothing compared to the 1941 Chicago Steamrollers song: "Hail! Hail! Steam-Roll-Ers! Fight!Fight! Fight! Win! Win! Win! And keep the filthy Irish out of our neighborhoods!" I think its sung to the tune of Wish Upon a Star.
sullim4 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax3E1Q7TgsY&feature=related

That's my default ringtone. (I use the traditional HNIC theme for the couple of Canuckistanis I know -- especially fitting because one of them works for that show -- and people from TBD get Shout!)

PastaJoe Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I always liked the old ABC Monday Night Football theme from the Howard Cosell days.

KD in CA Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Yes, Troy Aikman in two superbowls and Mark Rypen in another one. You're one of those people that used to B word about Bruce jumping offsides once in a while, aren't you?
