Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Article on the Green Bay D "Psycho" package. Note description of Edwards facing it. http://host.madison.com/sports/football/professional/article_278efbb8-c6a7-11df-86af-001cc4c002e0.html Is this a coaching failure, if the team wasn't prepared to face it or didn't have a plan to exploit it? It must have a weakness or everyone would do it
FluffHead Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 it's not that original of an idea...New England and NYJ have done a lot of this recently among other teams. Even Perry Fewell played around with it. We can't protect when we know who is rushing, let alone when we have no idea.
evilbuffalobob Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 I would implement the option to audible INTO the Wildcat and give them a taste of their own confusion.

It must have a weakness or everyone would do it There's no question they were ready for it. Our coach is Chan Gailey. He had the 28th ranked offense in the league with Tyler Thigpen. With the Fish, he had the 25st ranked offense in yards with Jay Fielder. Then he put together a ton of bowl eligible seasons at Georgia Tech. It is just STUPID to think a guy with that kind of resume wouldn't have the team ready for every conceivable defensive formation.
