Cugalabanza Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) Highly recommended. I just watched it. It's playing again on Sundance tonight at 12:25. Worth a recording. Really fun story about this old rogue Texan who started robbing banks in his 80's. Maybe I've had too much wine, but I found myself saying "rock on, you magnificent bastard!" EDIT: D'oh! I can't figure out how to edit the thread title. It's called This is Not a Robbery. Edited September 24, 2010 by gringo starr
Cugalabanza Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Also: I just noticed that the two reviews on IMdB are lame. They both refer to the movie as "sad." That's not the feeling I got from it at all. I thought it was a totally life-affirming story of a kick-ass old bastard who went through a bunch of difficult stuff and then decided to get some joy from life.
Cugalabanza Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Wow, I guess I'm all alone on this one. It really is a good movie though. I'm not making it up.
GOBILLS78 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Wow, I guess I'm all alone on this one. It really is a good movie though. I'm not making it up. Honestly, after reading your thread yesterday, I meant to DVR it but it slipped my mind. Sundance usually repeats movies plenty, so I'll be on the lookout.
CosmicBills Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 I just added it to my netflix -- I'm working on a project that seems kind of similar, so I'm excited to check it out. Thanks!
