truth on hold Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Versus New Orleans I wouldn't say he's currently better than what we have, but he has more potential. Reads defenses well and has a quick release. Good pocket presence. Appears well coached. He needs to work on throwing to spots versus to wide open receivers (Trent's problem.) Won't scare anyone with his feet, and his footwork to avoid the sack may be an issue. The only pick that was really bad was the one to Sharper, where he should have seen him jumping the route. truth on hold Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 Versus Kansas City Clear tendency to pass to underneath route when deep route was available. Something he definitely needs to work on.
....lybob Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 His blocking looks a lot better than what our OL will be able to give him.
truth on hold Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) His blocking looks a lot better than what our OL will be able to give him. No doubt. He's primarily a pocket passer. And right now our pocket collapses like a cheap tent as soon as the ball is snapped. If we go after him, WE HAVE TO have a clear near term plan to shore up the offensive line. Sounds like Eegs shaky line (how you like Peters now?!!?!) and Vick's scrambling ability was a major factor in Reid's decision to go with Vick. Edited September 22, 2010 by Joe_the_6_pack
gobillsinytown Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 His blocking looks a lot better than what our OL will be able to give him. Considering that he's already got a concussion from the blocking his line is giving him, imagine what would happen behind the Bills' line?

That is certainly a consideration, even if we had Cowboys' 1990's Oline. After all, Aikman's career behind that line was cut short due to concussions.
