Captain Hindsight Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Bit surprising...i thought Johnson played well last year for the Bengals...look for the packers to take a look
b stein 22 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 What if Bell and Simpson become stars in the league and chan was to stupid to keep them.
peanuts Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 What if Bell and Simpson become stars in the league and chan was to stupid to keep them. i agree with you.How could he not keep them... What is going on there..I could do a much better job.
todd Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 i agree with you.How could he not keep them... What is going on there..I could do a much better job. Yeah he should have cut Lynch or Jackson to make space for him.
zow2 Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 I gotta say, i thought both Bell and Simpson ran REALLY HARD in preseason. I mean they both gave it their all on every carry. I won't forget Simpson bashing heads with the Cinci rookie Cornerback on a 4th down and almost killing each other. I'm disappointed we won't have either of those guys around. Well, i guess no one wants LJ or Willie Parker right now.
boyst Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Good luck to him! He and Bell worked very hard and deserve the success they earn!
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Yeah he should have cut Lynch or Jackson to make space for him. Not cut. Traded. But it looks like they may be late to that dance as well. <sigh> Oh, and good luck to Chad Simpson... Edited September 22, 2010 by Sisyphean Bills
ChasBB Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Nothing major but interesting nonetheless. When I heard the news that the Eagles signed Bell, I was kind of hoping Chad Simpson might be brought back on the PS. Oh well, that's how these things go.
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 The Bills would be better if they kept five running backs. They would also be better if they were in possession of many magic mind-control spells that they could use to trade Marshawn Lynch for a first-round draft pick. Then they would have four running backs, and a lot of awesome magic mind-control spells.
Bob in STL Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 What if Bell and Simpson become stars in the league and chan was to stupid to keep them. If Chan was too stupid to keep Chad Simpson then Bill Polian was even more stupid. Didn't the Colts release Chad Simpson after two season? Anyone who blames Chan for not keeping Chad Simpson and Joique Bell over CJ Spiller, Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson would need his head examined. Good luck to Simpson and Bell in the future. If they flourish more power to them.
shrader Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Bit surprising...i thought Johnson played well last year for the Bengals...look for the packers to take a look New England might have to take a look too.
silvermike Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 We should have kept Bell and Simpson, and promoted Andre Anderson, while cutting Evans, Parrish, and Stevie Johnson. Lord knows we're not going to pass the ball this year, so we might as well run the double-wishbone.
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I gotta say, i thought both Bell and Simpson ran REALLY HARD in preseason. I'm disappointed we won't have either of those guys around. Well, i guess no one wants LJ or Willie Parker right now. I would expect nothing less from an undrafted FA and a career backup trying to make a team. But...they obviously didn't run hard enough for Chan! When I heard the news that the Eagles signed Bell, I was kind of hoping Chad Simpson might be brought back on the PS. Oh well, that's how these things go. Chad Simpson is not eligible for the practice squad.
ChasBB Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Chad Simpson is not eligible for the practice squad. Good call -- thanks for correcting.
