He is the first rookie in NFL history with at least 75 rushing yards, 150 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a single game. Best is the first player to accomplish the feat since 1981 (JOE CRIBBS). In his first two career games, Best has scored five touchdowns. He is the first rookie to score five touchdowns in his first two career games since BILLY SIMS in 1980. Best’s 154 receiving yards are the most by a rookie running back in the Super Bowl era. Phil Hansen Forever Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 If the Bills ever left Buffalo, you can bet the Lions will already be gone from Detroit. That city is proof that rust will hold up structures for life. I'll be surprised if Detroit is still on the map in 100 years.
DanInUticaTampa Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 The thing about spiller is, he doesn't get anywhere close to the touches that Best and Mathews get... the coaching staff is saying they want to work him in slowly, but they better get him in there a little quicker. Gailey said it himself, this offense needs a spark. Though I think it would have been better to draft a pass rusher in the 1st round.

....lybob Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Detroit has got some pieces to the puzzle but they are still a ways away - they need a better grind it out back to go with Best, could use a better #2 WR, OL help , and if their QB keeps getting hurt it might not matter- I think they are a good off-season from the play-offs a lot closer than the Bills who might sadly be three really good off-seasons away from the Play-offs, RW is from Detroit maybe he should send what little talent the Bills have over there and live vicariously - we don't really have much to send, Evans, a RB, a DB or two, that's about it.

And we all know what a stellar career Cribbs went on to have. Lynch had a much better career at Cal than Best and Spiller will be fine.
Meark Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 One carry for 3 yards.. Can't break records on the bench.

What is the Lion's record right now? So they didn't get blown out by the Packers. They still are 0-2. What is up with your last two lines? Some people must feel the need to be right so they brag after two games. Maybe it makes them feel smarter because they root for an awful football team. Edited September 21, 2010 by bills7834
Bom Trady Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 CJ Spiller was very impressive in his debut, 7 carries for 6 yards.

Your first thread on this was already stupid enough, starting the identical thread again on the same day under a slightly different name is even worse. "you literally are too stupid to insult" quote comes to mind...
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 I love that a team that has won 3 games over the last 3 years is building the right way. If you've been as terrible as the Lions and had top 5 picks every year, you should be headed i nthe right direction.
Stan da Man Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) The Lions would kick the Bills arses if we played them right now. Edited September 21, 2010 by Stan da Man

Drew026 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Do you people not remember them being 0-16 a few years ago?

Peter Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 CJ will be just fine. We just have to figure out how to give the guy some space.
reddogblitz Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 CJ will be just fine. We just have to figure out how to give the guy some space. Her had a couple of decent KO returns Sunday.
Bom Trady Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 I will say Spiller has the home run hitting capability, just like Chris Johnson. He's a smooth runner and very quick and fast. If they guy could find some holes to run through on this O-Line for the Bills, you'd see major productivity. He also needs playing time.
