Corp000085
Please correct me if i'm wrong, but that oakland non-td, i believe that MM threw the challenge flag or at least attempted to but the refs said it was not challengable?? Am i right here? If i am, then can we stop the "we beat oakland" crap? its not like people talk about the dream matchup of st. louis vs the bills in SB XXXIV, by virtue of forward lateral being negated. Its time to move on from that officiating blunder, so we can place our bets on when the next blunder will take place.
SF Bills Fan
It seems like we tend to be on the receiving end of bad calls more than other teams. Obviously, I'm a fan and my judgment is clouded, but it just seems that way. The New England game a few years ago was one, then we got the Raiders game this year. The New England "just give it to them" game meant we had to go to Tennessee that year (we all know what happened there) and this Raider game might cost us the postseason. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

MadBuffaloDisease
No the Bills never challenged it. If they had, it would have been scored a TD.

"Inconclusive evidence." We'll never know though. CW

REFS :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: 148784[/snapback] They showed the replay of it in the Pats game the following week. With Travis' second effort he clearly got the ball over. There was no reason the play couldn't have been reviewed and I wonder WTF Mularkey was thinking not challenging it. But ultimately the zebras missed the call, which has been a common theme. GG
The big reason is that CBS screwed us. They didn't show a definitive replay until after another play was run.

Wouldn't be the first tiem I've seen that call. That's why I'm not convinced we would've gotten the call anyway, even if it was deserved. The whistle wasn't blown before Travis reached the ball over the goalline. The realtime audio proves that.

That was the year the refs screwed us in the NE game (and the Miami playoff game) and gave the Jets a gift with the Testaverde "TD sneak" that was clearly over 1/2 yard short, effectively giving the Jets the division and getting Dennis Erickson fired. Bingo. Also during that year's playoffs, the 49'ers won a game against the Packers when in the closing moments Rice fumbled and lost the ball with the Packers ahead, which would have given them a TD, but the zebras said he didn't fumble, Owens goes onto score a TD, and the 49'ers "won." That season was THE reason IR came back.

I think that MM attempted to challenge the call but was told he couldn't by the refs. I'm fairly confident in my memory, but i still wish i had a tape of that game to double check. If my memory is correct, then double FU to the refs.
