beggar13
Fitz won't be great, but just like last season he will make the games more exciting by taking some shots down the field.
BfloBillsFan
The Panthers announce Clausen will start this week while the Bills announce Fitz will start this week. Interesting to see which team will have better success.

JPS
Next flunkie. We'll see Brohm in Week 8 and Vinnie Testeverde in Week 12.
BuffaloBaumer
Hopefully Fitz will be benched by the bye week and then the rest of the season can be Brohm. If that does not work, then we can get a whole new stable next year......

BuffaloBill
To be honest, I think this is too soon. I am not a Trent supporter, however I think that a lot of last week was more the OLine and WR than him. I don't think Trent is the answer, but I would have given him until week 4 and remove all doubt going forward. Sorry, just one bad game, two games into the season under the new regime seems like a coach feeling pressure move. I'm sure Chan has had the chance to review all (meaning even from previous seasons) the film on Edwards. Starting him was a bad decision - leaving him in there would be even worse. Nervous Guy
And there was much rejoicing! so is Chan still a MORAN or is he now brilliant? I can need a Chan barometer!
nodnarb
Well hey. Good. But it might have been better to wait as late as possible to announce it. Patriots would have prepared for Trent. Maybe.

nobody
Let's hope they then give Brohm a try after Fitzpatrick before putting Edwards back in.
BfloBillsFan
This is a new wrinkle in Gailey's game plan against the Pats. Hopefully the Pats won't know how to prepare.
timba
Fitz's skill set allows him to function a little better behind this weak line. We'll have a few more big plays but more WTFs too.
Buffalonian-at-Heart
Remember the saying: The most popular guy in town is the backup QB. You could see this coming, but I honestly didn't think it would be this quick. I figured Gailey might give him until the bye week, but I guess he's more impatient than I thought. Yikes, your questioning the coaches patience? The whole sports world see's Trent for what he is, Gailey is just acting on the obvious. I think he wanted to do this after week 1. Patience was shown letting him play the entire Green Bay game.
tennesseeboy
no no no...we will be so much better off with Fitz getting sacked and knocked unconscious than we were when Trent was getting sacked and knocked unconscious. Maybe we can trade for someone else to get sacked and knocked unconscious!
earthtobrint
With Edwards benched, what excuses will the WR's have for not getting open? That Fitz can't hit the broad side of a barn? If the news was "Brohm to start" then I'd be somewhat interested, even if Brohm performed poorly. Any move between Trent and Fitz is moot. GOBILLS78
For argument's sake, let's say the starting quarterback of an NFL team is the equivalalent of a starting center in the NBA. Edwards is 3 feet, 7 inches tall. Fitzpatrick is 3 feet, 8 inches tall. That's all I got on this subject.
