Nervous Guy Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Yeah, and Brad Johnson couldn't do it with Minn or Washington.......and Trent Dilfer couldn't do it with Tampa Bay.... 148698 guys, guys...don't confuse him with facts....er...truths...er....don't confuse him!
ICE Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 That's an opinion, you schmuck. Not a "fact". Want facts? Here are some "facts": Brad Johnson put up 48 pts in the Super Bowl. Trent Dilfer.....DILFER!!!......won the Superbowl. How did Jeff Hoestetler do? Mark Rypien do? Against a superior signal caller. Waiting................ 148697 FACT non of them had what was essentially a ROOKIE QB take over his team and lead them to a superbowl. Rookie had the same system and same talent around him. FACT: we are stuck with a backup QB AGAIN as our starter.
Alaska Darin Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Dan Marino? Nuff said. CW 148703 But...But...It all starts with the QB.
ICE Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 I missed the part where we won a Super Bowl with a first-ballot Hall of Famer at quarterback. Christ ICE. This is really getting old. 148691 We were there 4x straight. What did we do before him or after? Absolutely nothing. Now argue that.
ICE Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 But...But...It all starts with the QB. 148713 Yes actually it does.
Dan Gross Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 No matter how much you want to deflect it, it all starts and ends with the QB. And since Kelly we haven't had one. 148702 Last I checked, Kelly didn't win any Super Bowls either...
Nervous Guy Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 ... get over yourself man. 148705 ...that's like climbing Mt Everest!
RkFast Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 FACT non of them had what was essentially a ROOKIE QB take over his team and lead them to a superbowl. Rookie had the same system and same talent around him. How did Tom Brady do a few years back? This is comical, Ice. Keep it up. Youre digging the hole youre in so deep, you'll be able to order Chop Suey direct in a few hours.
Alaska Darin Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 ...that's like climbing Mt Everest! 148718 Using only your teeth because you have no arms and legs.
Nervous Guy Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Using only your teeth because you have no arms and legs. 148720 TIMMMMAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ICE Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 How did Tom Brady do a few years back? This is comical, Ice. Keep it up. Youre digging the hole youre in so deep, you'll be able to order Chop Suey direct in a few hours. 148719 Well gee I don't know, as a rookie he won a superbowl, and last year did the same. Not too bad if you ask me.
BRH Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 We were there 4x straight. What did we do before him or after? Absolutely nothing. Now argue that. 148714 You said we will never WIN the SB with our current QB situation. I merely pointed out that we once had one of the best QBs in history and still didn't win a Super Bowl.
ICE Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Well gee I don't know, as a rookie he won a superbowl, and last year did the same. Not too bad if you ask me. 148729 To answer your question... 2001 11-5 Superbowl win 2002- 9-7 missed playoffs 2003 14-2 Superbowl win 2004 11-1 Man RK you are right, Brady sure has had a shaky time of it
ICE Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 You said we will never WIN the SB with our current QB situation. I merely pointed out that we once had one of the best QBs in history and still didn't win a Super Bowl. 148731 My point exactly. We don't have a guy like Kelly at all. So where does that leave us? Up sh-- creek without a paddle.
Nervous Guy Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 My point exactly. We don't have a guy like Kelly at all. So where does that leave us? Up sh-- creek without a paddle. 148736 I'm beggin ya...read JS's column and get back to us....please!!!

Saw PT in one game and went 1/3.
Just Jack Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Well gee I don't know, as a rookie he won a superbowl, and last year did the same. Not too bad if you ask me. 148729 Actually it was Adam Vinatieri that got the win for the Pats in both Super Bowls.
Nervous Guy Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 You missed 2000: Sat on the bench. Saw PT in one game and went 1/3. 148765 is that a fact? or the truth?
