Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Just got back from one of the best football games I've ever seen that ended with the student body rushing the field at the end. My Emmaus Green Hornets took down the conference-favorite and contender for state title Parkland Trojans 26-19. In front of a 9,000 person crowd, the coach pulled out all the stops, including a fake punt at midfield with his team down 12-0. I only wish the coaches of my college and pro teams were as ballsy and imaginative. Let's go HORNETS! Strike up the band, partytime in the boonies! w00t w00t
DC Tom Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 ...their reputation tarnished only by the regrettable eventuality of having an alumnus living in Macungie (SA-LUTE!)
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 Alma mater? Wossamotta U? Emmaus High School, class of 1991.
HopsGuy Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I went to this game last night. I can't remember the last time a Bills game was that entertaining. The refs were a bit flag-happy but the back-and-forth, "last team with the ball wins" feeling was really cool. The was definitely some FBS talent on the field.
Nanker Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) Good for you Joe, in backing your alma mater like that. No such possibilities for me. My HS is not a JHS. Edited September 19, 2010 by Nanker
