BillsPilot
CAL finished ahead of Utah in the final BCS standings, why does CAL go to the Holiday and Utah to a BCS bowl? Sure it is a easy answer. HELP
KD in CA
I didn't read all this, but I don't think the BCS is obligated to take the highest ranking teams. The purpose is to ensure #1 and #2 play. Of course, I could be totally wrong, so here is the source! http://bcsfootball.org/index.cfm?page=eligibility
BRH
There's some rule that if a team from a non-BCS conference finishes in the top six in the BCS rankings, then they must be awarded a BCS berth. That's why Utah gets to go and Cal doesn't. It's not as big an injustice as Pitt going to a BCS bowl while Louisville and Boise State don't go. BillsPilot
If that is the case why didn't the Rose just select CAL instead od Texas like they wanted to. I am totally confused by the whole thing.
BillsPilot
Thanks for the info, none of it passes the stink test. Auburn beats 4 nine win teams and has a strength of schedule better than OU and USC, but everybody talks about has they played those soft early season teams. Oh Well GO Bills Go Gators
