BillsInMaine Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) Im not sure if getting him is even possible. Could we try and sign Logan Mankins from the Pats? Benjamin Barker Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) Maybe they can trade for Jason Peters. Edited September 13, 2010 by Benjamin Barker

Converting a good guard is not the answer. Hopefully when Wang recovers he will be the upgrade we need.
dpberr Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Bill Noethlich You want your undrafted talent...here's a guy to try.

Yes lightning does strike from time to time, but that's a bit of a Hail Mary.
Billmatic Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Mankins is a 2-time probowler and hasn't missed a game since he started playing (except for this year). I am all for bringing in that caliber of talent regardless of whether or not it addresses our RT need. Move Wood to C mankins RG?
Amstel Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Even if it was viable moving people around etc. The pats would never trade him within the division and if they were willing to I'd be skeptical of the trade....
truth on hold Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) Tony Washington. If the guy can help us, I don't care if he scored with his neighbor's dog. He has more potential than Bell and Green ... combined Edited September 13, 2010 by Joe_the_6_pack
dpberr Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 The trade isn't the most difficult part. It's working out a contract that would satisfy Mankins. He wants to be the highest paid guard in the NFL.
ieatcrayonz Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 If we signed the Great Wall of China Mary would still check down.
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 McNeil seems like a far likelier option given history with the Chargers and the fact that he plays tackle. I'd be working overtime to get him in Buffalo.
akm0404 Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I was watching the Eagles/Redskins game and not paying super close attention and noticed that the Eagles left tackle mauled someone trying a bull rush and literally crumbled him to the ground. Without thinking, I asked my buddy if he saw it and who their stud LT was. Took about a half second to realize that I had made myself unhappy.

That does take some talent.
Wagon Circler Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Tony Washington. If the guy can help us, I don't care if he scored with his neighbor's dog. He has more potential than Bell and Green ... combined Forgot about him. Get him in here NOW.
....lybob Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 1. Cut Green- add Herman Johnson, not saying Herman Johnson would be great but at least he has a chance to develop 2. stop fooling around and move Wood to center and Howard to guard, Hangartner shouldn't be in anyones plans for the future- If your going to stink, stink young.
dollars 2 donuts Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Tony Washington. If the guy can help us, I don't care if he scored with his neighbor's dog. He has more potential than Bell and Green ... combined Man, I was thinking the same thing, Joe. Brad Butler was a huge loss Hey, I posted a couple weeks back that we pick up the phone, offer him a crap load of money, and to screw his political career at least for one year. OH, Brad, you walked away from 2.whatever million to start your way in politics...are you willing to walk away from 6 million guaranteed, for one year?

Nick in RaChaCha Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Tony Washington. If the guy can help us, I don't care if he scored with his neighbor's dog. He has more potential than Bell and Green ... combined I would like to give that kid a chance. I think it was ESPN that told the whole story about what happened - Really heartbreaking.

Politicians can steal a whole lot more than 6 million a year if they're doing it right.
