Hawk Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Probably Cowher, with Belichick and Schottenheimer, close behind. But you gotta put mularchy in there as a strong dark horse to win it. How many rookie head coaches could turn around a floundering team with no hope, into a winner. Not many. So even though i think cowher will win it..Mularkey will be a close 2nd..IMHO
Corp000085 Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 i bet they give it to del rio or MM. I hope it goes to MM though.
BillnutinHouston Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Schottenheimer so far. He came from the furthest out.
Hawk Posted December 6, 2004 Author Posted December 6, 2004 I know some of you are too young to know this guy,,actually i am too,, ..but Mularkey kinda reminds me of Gary Cooper..the actor..The strong silent type..YUP!
T-Bone Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Bill Belichick gets no respect...guess he will have to be satisfied with another Super Bowl ring...
Realist Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Schottenheimer hands down is coach of the year so far. IF MM gets Buffalo in the playoffs he will be a strong candidate.
RuntheDamnBall Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Bill Belichick gets no respect...guess he will have to be satisfied with another Super Bowl ring... 148183 We all know Belicheck is overrated. He only wins because he coaches in a good system
Hawk Posted December 6, 2004 Author Posted December 6, 2004 Bill Belichick gets no respect...guess he will have to be satisfied with another Super Bowl ring... 148183 He's riding the coattails of 2 great coordinators,,just like he rode parcells
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 How many rookie head coaches could turn around a floundering team with no hope, into a winner. 148090 That's why I think Jim Mora Jr. in Atlanta is a serious candidate. A rookie head coach with a 9-3 team--not bad (even if they are only a paper tiger).

BillsFanM.D. Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 You gotta go with Schottenheimer. Team stunk, QB stunk and he had one foot out the door...now they're rolling to the playoffs and Brees has developed into this year's hottest free agent. Kudos to A.J. Smith (and John Butler...rest his soul ) as well for having a team that good with 20Mil under the cap. And yes, before you think I'm bashing TD, I think Donahoe is doing very well for the Bills.
