Its gotten to the point for me that I get excited when the offense simply picks up a few first downs before punting. I don't expect he offense to score all the time, I don't expect them to get into a shootout with anyone, I don't even expect them to pick up first downs. After watching this team play offense for the last 3+ years, all I expect is the team is gonna go 3 and out virtually every series in the game. Anything that deviates from that and picks up first downs is considered successful. A sad, sad commentary on how low expectations for the offense have grown.

I am so envious of those fans that can turn on the TV any week and watch their team play a competent game on offense. A team that can throw for 300 yards in the air a few times or more a year, instead of going 55 games without a 300 yard passer. A team that actually gets in opponent territory more than 3 times per game. A team with a QB that isn't afraid of throwing he ball to anyone with a defender within 5 yards of him. A team with a QB that doesn't throw 2 yard passes on 3rd and 15 or 8 yard passes with 10 seconds left in a game they need 80 yards to go for a TD. In short, it must be nice to be a fan of almost every other team and watch them move the football and not go 3 and out on half or more of their possessions every game...

All that will be fixed when trent gets destroyed next game by clay mathews. Then Brohm will start and get a 300 yard game.

I just commented on this at another post.

Look at the Packers.

A couple of seasons ago, they were down and out. Rodgers was rotten- he was replacing the legendary Favre, after all.

There big, space-eating DT was retiring, their RB's were weak, WR's were no where to be found...they had rookie LB's and no offensive line.

Yet somehow, what, 3, 4 years later...and the Pack are now seriously competitive?

I was remarking to my wife how 4 years of consecutive Super Bowls may spoil someone. But 11 years of mediocrity surely seems price enough to have paid for it to come to an end, no?

IF the Packers- a small market, public owned team- can turn it around in about 3 years...why has it taken the Bills 11 to even start?

Green bay is blessed by coaches who actually know what they are doing. Hopefully chan will bless us in the same way green bay coaches have and get this team to the playoffs.
