The Poojer Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 (edited) Wouldn't do justice to just call it an Elton/Leon album Brian Wilson, Neil Young, Robert Randolph and Booker T. Jones also make guest appearances on the album. this is gonna be a great album Edited September 12, 2010 by The Poojer
The Dean Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 this is gonna be a great album It might be a good album, if Elton has very little to do with it, other than play the piano and perhaps sing, one or two songs. But I fear his messy tasteless sellout fingerprints will be all over it. Elton and Bernie made a few great albums, but then Elton went and developed a severe case of badtasteitis. The song that's out now, Leon's "If it Wasn't for Bad", might have had a chance to be good without EJ's influence. Now it sounds like an empty shell of a song, it's soul sucked out from the association with "little Liberace". And, "Yes", Pooj, I know that was rough. But listen to Tumbleweed Connection and then, immediately afterward listen to any of his recent output (try on "Something About The Way You Look Tonight" for size) and tell me you think these are created two different artists.
