ACor58 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I don't think either would start in any other team in the NFl.
Huuuge Bills Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 At least there is a slim chance that Bell can get better. Green was at his best 5 years ago, and he wasn't very good then either.
BillsVet Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I don't think either those two or Jamon Meredith would be much more than swing tackles for any team. Miami's front 7 got significant push all day long, and they have no one who's a marquee player. Koa Misi shoved Meredith around and Green is a warm body. A lot of fans don't care about OT because they don't show up on fantasy rosters, but it's clear they're holding back the entire offense. That, and Trent's just not good.

Will also add that if the Offensive Line remains this bad, Fitzpatrick gives us the better chance to win. Edwards got time to throw in the preseason. Didn't get much today.
BobDVA Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 This is junk! Green is terrible, Bell played well IMO, it was Meridith that gave up that sack not Bell, Bell was in and out the whole game. Edwards had plenty of time by NFL standards to throw the ball today, and he made terrible decisions and held the ball bringing back the ghost of Losman. Edwards was the problem people, four out of five Olinemen played passable.
sharper802 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Green has to be the worst pass blocking RT in the league. He is a below average run blocker. Bell played well. As already pointed out, it was Meredtih that gave up the sack. Bell's worst play was the draw play when he didn't get enough push on the DE or OLB and was looking to make a block at the second level too early. Maybe that guy is Levitre's responsibility I don't know. No chages for now barring a trade. 5 games from now let Wang get 2-3 series per game.
ACor58 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 Nix should be on the phone with AJ Smith right now. Give them whatever they want for McNeill.

Bell is fine.

You talking about the guy who can't single block anyone, run or pass! The guy who stunk it up the entire game! Both tackles stunk, we all knew they stunk and there is no excuse for them No, not by any standards, reverse that last statement... ONE out of four played decently The Dolphins rushed 4 and the Bills have 6 blocking them and still hurried Edwards. This O line has not shown any improvement from last season, and with no injuries to use as an excuse you now see they all suck, save one
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Bell played well IMO, it was Meridith that gave up that sack not Bell, Bell was in and out the whole game. That's Bell problem: he's in and out the whole game. He can't be relied upon as the answer at LT.

Bring in Fitz or Brohm. I personally like Brohm who seems to make the quickest decisions in the pocket of the three QBs.
Buffalonian-at-Heart Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I think Bell is worse. And he certainly has the more important position. That whiff on the would have been screen play was pitiful.
Billshank Redemption Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I was at the game and I can tell you there is no comparison green is awful within 3 seconds he was beat every play
DanInUticaTampa Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 That's Bell problem: he's in and out the whole game. He can't be relied upon as the answer at LT. That was the coaches that wanted to do it as part of his rehab. They both need to be replaced though. Green is probably easier to replace, just because LTs are harder to find than RTs... but we at least need one of them upgraded. Bell could potentially get better (he looks better than last year), buut.... it is pretty important position to just hope he gets better.
Wing Man Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Hobson's choice. Maybe a nice hammer to the knee instead.
SoulMan Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Neither tackle would be 2nd string on most NFL teams. Give Wang a shout.
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Meredith did play some LT and was bad, as was Bell. The entire line wasn't good. It's a rather sad commentary on how low expectations are that fans can watch this line and think that because someone made a block or two that they were "fine" or, hell, even "good".
berriesandcream Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I don't think either would start in any other team in the NFl. Cornell Green is the worst OT I've ever seen play.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Cornell Green is the worst OT I've ever seen play. Corney suck with the Jets years ago, suck with the reaiders recently and makes Langston walker look like orlando pace. Worst two Ts in NFL by far. Neither would start on any team.
