BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 (edited) Debatable. Did this team play as bad as those Cleveland Brown games? (the Dolphins are not a good football team). Trent played conservative and scared. Honestly, what does he have to lose? He is out of a job in the NFL either way. If he plays like he has nothing to lose he has a chance at something positive happening (big play maybee?). Like I said in the preseason, the only way Edwards can succeed if he plays like this - fearless. I can tell this is not going to be the case. At least this level of performance did not occur in the first game in previous years...SIGH. I can realize now Trent is definitely not the answer like the new coaching staff was hoping. Looks like drafting a potential stud quarterback is a done deal now. 2-14?...maybe. Edited September 12, 2010 by BuffaloBillsForever

Doc Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Seems like he's had worse. But I can't think of any.
joey greco Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 There are so many horrible games to choose from, it's difficult to choose just one.
johnnychemo Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 that 3rd down play on the final drive where he threw it away as he was going down reminded me of the JP throw in his last game where he was almost on his back. officially done with Trent...
coldstorage5 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I cant believe we cant throw a hail mary,...Pathetic

zow2 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I cannot remember when Trent had a good game, really. I used to think he would make a decent backup QB but not anymore. I know he's bad, you know he's bad, Jim Kelly knows it, the media knows it....now Chan knows it.
Nyghtewynd Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Back to the Ralph Wilson watch. It's the only thing that could ever make this franchise competent.
BadDad Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Trent stunk up the joint! Why, why, why? I am getting tired of telling my kids to hold on! Please get rid of this guy. THROW THE DAMNDED BALL!!!!!!
trolls_r_us Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 In Trent's defense, he's the same guy he ALWAYS has been. He (at his best) plays slightly worse than Chad Pennington. He is who he is. I said it before: the Kool Aid drinkers would be the most vicious toward Trent for being Trent
Doc Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I cannot remember when Trent had a good game, really. I used to think he would make a decent backup QB but not anymore. I know he's bad, you know he's bad, Jim Kelly knows it, the media knows it....now Chan knows it. Does he? How he addressed the QB position will go a long way towards my early opinion of him. Back to the Ralph Wilson watch. It's the only thing that could ever make this franchise competent. Why? Will the next owner play QB?
Dan Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 What makes this all so bad.... this was actually a pretty average game for Trent. He has and will play much worse.
Nyghtewynd Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 The next owner may not play QB, but he'll be at normal body temperature and be of relatively sound mind. That's an immediate improvement.
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 Trent can't make any throws from 10-30 yards. In fact he is unwilling to throw a ball in this area. The only passing play we had all game was on blown coverage. Any quarterback in the NFL could have made that read and throw. At least in one of the Cleveland games weather was a factor. No excuses here.
Birch Bigsley Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Edwards is horrible. He has one good drive and thats it! So horrible. http://www.Youtube.com/birchbigsleybroshow
johnnychemo Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 You would've rather taken the sack....? Certainly not! It's just the visual -- when I saw his panic throw (falling down, ball thrown underhanded) it reminded me of that JP incident. I think when a QB give you Losman flashbacks, he's done.
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 13, 2010 Author Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) Another thing to worry about with Edwards is that he played as conservative as he could within the gameplan and still made big enough mistakes to possibly put the nail in the coffin himself. There were 2 horrible decisions/passes that should have been returned for touchdowns. Lets not forget that. An elite defense would have capitalized on those chances. bills1960 Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) it's up there. The Browns game in my opinion had to be the worst, at least he got the ball in the end zone one time today. But it's no surprise to us Bills fans, but apparently not the front office. Edited September 13, 2010 by bills1960
