Estro
Have been set at: 2000 passing yards 12 Td's by far the two lowest numbers of any starting QB in the league. I'm guessing Vegas is betting on the fact that Edwards will not be healthy to start all 16 games. If Edwards manages to stay healthy this season (that's a big if) the overs are a virtual lock. 2000 yards/ 16 games = 125 passing yards/game For anyone who's betting on Edwards this year you may want to take a look. If you think he can stay upright for the entire season it's a lock, but betting on that is risky.
drnykterstein
How many games until he gets injured though? I give him five.
Estro
How many games until he gets injured though? I give him five. I agree, I don't see him starting a full 16. After watching preseason, I'm still concerned with trent Edwards pocket presence and decision making. Edwards tends to hold onto the ball a tad too long and doesn't feel the pressure, which results in too many hits and low blows. I'm sure Chan has worked with him a lot on getting the ball out, but i'm not fully confident. Even if Trent can start 12-13 games though he should easily be able to pass for over 2000 yards. I think Chan's playcalling will do wonders for Edwards productivity. Don't forget we have a guy that can turn 5 yard swing passes into 55 yard completions (Spiller). In 2008, Trent was able to start 14 games and finished with 2,699 yards. So, if he can stay upright for 12-13 games over 2000 yards should be a cinch. stony
If he stays healthy, I can't see why he can't do almost 3000 (14 games about 210yds a game). Thats reasonable and nothing special if we indeed are a running team. 16-18 tds?
todzilla
I'll take the over on both of those. I think he'll get the ball out faster and stay upright more often. How about 3100 and 20 tds.
Wizard
I'm an optimist this year I've decided. While I believe Trent Edwards has the capacity to match either mark, I don't believe his offensive line, the scheme, the lack of receiving talent around him, or his health will allow him to achieve both marks; therefore, this is a sucker bet. Mark me down for 1,874 yards and 11 tds with Edwards starting or surviving 12 games this year. I'm throwing one game out for injury, two games for Fitzpatrick to have a shot at starting, and one game when the season is over for the Bills to find out what Brohm has before drafting a quarterback next year. And, Fred Jackson or Brian Moorman will be the third leading passer on the Bills this year! Have been set at: 2000 passing yards 12 Td's by far the two lowest numbers of any starting QB in the league. Benjamin Barker
Estro - What sportsbook is offering this bet? Does he have to exceed both 2000 yards and 12 TDs or can I wager on just the 2000 yard part?

Does he have to exceed both 2000 yards and 12 TDs or can I wager on just the 2000 yard part? 5dimes.com They are serperate bets. You can bet just one. I happen to like over 2000 yards more than over 12 TD's. Both bets are currently at -115, meaning you need to risk $115 to win $100.
Benjamin Barker
Thanks! I also like the yardage bet more than the TD bet.

eball
Both of these bets basically come down to how much you want to gamble on Trent's health. If he doesn't miss more than a game or two because of injury, both of those numbers are low.
