ricojes
I agree with the Left Bank suggestion if you don't mind loud restaurants. If you're looking for Italian, I highly recommend Sinatra's, great food and great atmosphere.

BarkLessWagMore
Left Bank is a secret? Then why is it always so darn busy? Great restaurant, but my absolute favorite is Lombardo's on Hertel. Great ambiance and service and the food is amazing. I have never had anything less than an excellent experience there. Sanners
If you are into Asian fusion cuisine, Papaya is fantastic. Chop House is a premier steakhouse. Excellent food.
