Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Finding a starter is unlikely, especially at the critical OT position. Teams do not cut staring caliber OT's. It will take weeks for the new player to learn the playbook and the system anyways. Best you can do right now is add depth. I agree with you on the depth. I'd like to see us pick up 2 OL who have started in the league and have shown themselves willing to learn. "Teams do not cut starting caliber OT's" -- hmmmmm. "Starting caliber" depends on the quality of a team's starters, yes? Take a winning team with a strong line that drafts for development every year (Baltimore comes to mind now that Matsko is there, Green Bay, Colts) Their discards can arguably be stronger than the starters for half the league. (One man's ceiling is another man's floor). Or maybe I'm just....Hopeful
