KOKBILLS Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I read a column before the draft (can't remember the writer) who said Ducasse wouldn't work at tackle and will struggle in the NFL because he can't handle getting beaten, and in the NFL everyone gets beaten from time to time. He said that's why Eben Britton (sp?) is better than Eugene Monroe despite the latter's physical edge. Just like QBs, linemen have to have a short memory I remember that article, and I remember the author claiming Ducasse was literally begging Scouts to move him inside during the Sr Bowl Practices because he could not stand getting beat...I would imagine that took him off a few lists right there...
Andre Speed Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 i don't think Faneca was "fading".. when an OL is done, he's a lot closer to being paraplegic. from superman, he devolved into their worst starter. the new guy might turn out to be a player, but at least he gives us a chance to rename him, slightly just for fun. everyone welcome the jets new guard Vladimir Sucasse ! ~AS
