HumbleAndHungry Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) The single most appealing thing about the Buffalo Bills franchise is their accessibility and their localized fan core. Unlike sexy media favorites like the Dallas Cowboys or the New York Jets, the Buffalo Bills fan base is made up primarily of hard working, middle class, blue collar, upstate new york citizens. We do not have the luxury of hearing day by day NFL Network updates and long espn talk show excerpts about our team. We will always be overlooked and unnoticed. Even with a super bowl victory, the Cowboys, Jets, Giants, and Saints will always be focused on, because of their exceptional marketablilty and big time playmaker core. I actually have accepted and grown to like the identity of the bufffalo bills. Colin Cowherd was spot on when he said that Jerry Jones has truly missed the mark with the construction of his lavish footbal stadium. Buffalo Bills have what no other team in the NFL has (besides the Packers), and that is intimicy and a unmatchable fan base. The Buffalo bills and sabres are the identity of buffalo. The location of the stadium and the commitment of the fans has bred a very tight knit loyal community. The buffalo bills are to the city of buffalo as Holywood is to california. ESPN can have Bret Farve''s antics, Tony Romos immaturity, and Eli Manning's overrated play, give me what is real, and the Buffalo Bills fan base is just that. Hopes for an excellent season and many more decades of buffalo bills and sabres tradition. Edited September 1, 2010 by firstgenbillsfan
bills1960 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 couldn't have said it much better than that.
