Kelly the Dog Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Two at home, two on the road. All must wins. We have heard the excuses and we have seen the results, BOTH ways. Drew has played terrible and he has played well. He has done ALL of the (regular season) things his critics have accused him of not being able to do, and has now won two staright games on the road, scoring 80 points in two games against good defenses. So this is it for Drew. It seems pretty simple. If he wins out, whether we get in the playoffs or not, he deserves to be either the starter or considered the starter next year. If he does average, and teases us, it will be an open position. If he tanks, Losman should be named the starter before training camp. This is really a good look at whether Drew Bledsoe has it or doesn't. The team is jelling. The O line is becoming a unit. We are getting production from at least two of our receivers. We have a running game. We have good coaching and pretty good play-calling. If Drew cannot produce now he should be replaced. If he CAN produce now, he rightfully should be considered. 4-0 will guarantee it. 3-1 will provide an argument. 2-2 and Drew is likely done, for Losman should be able to produce 2-2, and if they are equal, go with the kid.
Rico Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 I still say he needs to be named MVP after the Bills win the Super Bowl this year before I want him back, due to his historical performance in the clutch. One thing's for sure, though, if he keeps playing like he did today, we'll at least be able to trade him for a draft pick.
