Nanker Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm looking for the unofficial hurricane Earl thread. A little help? Try justintv. I hear they've got everything there. Except for the flights out of Newark that my kids are taking on Friday, I hope we get a lot of rain from Earl. We've had an extended drought here in the garden state.
plenzmd1 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Here in Richmond, and weather guy just said no chance we have any effects here. However, ging to VA beach for the weekend, and he said any beach plans past 12 on Friday should be just peachy
Pete Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 It is getting interesting. One computer model (the yellow) has Earl heading direct shot for CT! Get your ass to CT Earl!
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 1, 2010 Author Posted September 1, 2010 Try justintv. I hear they've got everything there. Except for the flights out of Newark that my kids are taking on Friday, I hope we get a lot of rain from Earl. We've had an extended drought here in the garden state. Be careful what you wish for... Dry ground+hard/packed ground+lots of rain=flash floods. It is getting interesting. One computer model (the yellow) has Earl heading direct shot for CT! Get your ass to CT Earl! You're nuts!
DC Tom Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 It is getting interesting. One computer model (the yellow) has Earl heading direct shot for CT! Get your ass to CT Earl! Which one? As I recall, three or four are pretty reliable, one's questionable, and one is about as accurate as a three year old scribbling with a crayon.
/dev/null Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) and one is about as accurate as a three year old scribbling with a crayon. Sounds like an average meteorologist Edited September 1, 2010 by /dev/null
Pete Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Which one? As I recall, three or four are pretty reliable, one's questionable, and one is about as accurate as a three year old scribbling with a crayon. lets go yellow!
/dev/null Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 lets go yellow! Hampton Roads is also on that track. Having been thru a couple weak hurricanes and several tropical storms, I'd rather this storm (and any future ones) not follow this path. If you really want to experience a hurricane, then I could care less if it takes a different path that ends up where you are. Just as long as it doesn't path here
