bowery4 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Doubt it, we keep all three and Grown goes PS. Fitz is our best back up. in fact it is a great role for him. Don't think he has good trade value in comparison. TG needs something to write about. No doubt he gets paid by word count.
boyst Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think that the Cards are not ready to pull the plug on the QB's they have now... Leinert and Anderson will battle this year and they will be our competition for a QB next year.
DIE HARD 1967 Posted August 30, 2010 Author Posted August 30, 2010 I think I look at Coles for $855,000?
ChasBB Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think Gailey may opt to keep Fitz around for the sake of having at least one experienced backup on the roster.

There are always other options..... http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Derek-Anderson-looks-like-a-lock-to-be-Arizona-Cardinals-starting-QB-082810 Edited August 30, 2010 by DIE HARD 1967
eball Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Jesus, talk about jumping to conclusions...Graham wrote "MAYBE (emphasis added) the Bills were showcasing Fitz for a potential trade (hello, Arizona?)." Nothing about Tim's article suggests he had a scoop or thinks this is going to happen. It was a random OPINION based upon Fitz getting all of the backup work and Brohm being relegated to mop up duty. Do the words "taken into context" mean anything to you guys?
crazyDingo Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Do the words "taken into context" mean anything to you guys? Yep. Its always my defense in Court.
Buftex Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think I look at Coles for $855,000? Not sure if you are being serious, but, didn't Coles say that he would retire, if he didn't make the Jets team?

tbonestake Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think Gailey may opt to keep Fitz around for the sake of having at least one experienced backup on the roster. After seeing his confidence and moxy the other night, I totally agree. If and when Trent goes down, Fitz is capable.
Beerball Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Come on, at least he provided a link this time.
metzelaars_lives Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 (edited) I think I look at Coles for $855,000? Lavarenues Coles is so washed up at this point, I can't imagine anyone's gonna sign him. He was already washed up two years ago on the Jets and then last year he was non-existent for Cincinnati. I wouldn't dream of taking him over Evans/Johnson/Parrish/Jackson/Nelson/Hardy. I'm psyched about our receiving core right now. Edited August 30, 2010 by metzelaars_lives
dpberr Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I think that the Cards are not ready to pull the plug on the QB's they have now... Leinert and Anderson will battle this year and they will be our competition for a QB next year. Oh I do. They don't have a window of losing a year to the tomfoolery of Leinart and Anderson behind Center. I think they will be definitely looking for a QB before the beginning of the season, most specifically Sage Rosenfels. Fitzpatrick? Ehh. Only if Plans A and B fall through.
dhg Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I don't see Fitz being any kind of upgrade for Arizona. And, why should they trade for him if the Bills are just going to cut him anyway?
Sisyphean Bills Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Who's the highest paid QB on the team, Fitz or Brohm? If it saves Ralph a few buck, I'm all for it.
BuffaloBill Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Not at this point in the season but who knows? Stranger things have happened.
