DanInUticaTampa Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Man, that was a great read. Love the stuff how they select the "right" players rather than ones that have a high potential of DUIs, and big blowout parties in miami beach. And looking up the law firm, it is a very modest, yet successful firm. And their "media blitz" prior to the draft I think is great to try and avoid fan hatred and really get the player involved in the community.
bowery4 Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Am I the only one who looked at this thread expecting to see a picture of his wife or girlfriend Nice article, it pays for all involved to be smart, a lesson that a lot of people in pro sports should learn.
Pilsner Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 leonidas Definitely a good read. Thanks Beerball.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Very nice read. I have a lot of hope for Torell Troup.
tbonestake Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 That was an excellent read. Thank you Beerball. So refreshing to hear that there is representation present that preaches values and responsibility.
Peter Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Thanks for posting. Good read. How they select their clients reminds me of how Buddy has gone about choosing players as well.
Beerball Posted August 25, 2010 Author Posted August 25, 2010 How they select their clients reminds me of how Buddy has gone about choosing players as well. Yeah, I thought the same thing. The guy has a plan...hopefully we'll see it come to fruition (and hopefully he sees the need to adjust, make exceptions etc. when called for).
dollars 2 donuts Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Man, that article and this thread were all sorts of win. Thanks, BB!
Amstel Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Great article. Sounds like the players that are chosen are very lucky as they will be set up well for life after football
The Dean Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I wonder how often their players hold out? I'd guess it isn't often. From what I recall, Leigh Steinberg used to have a pretty good rep as a quality agent with high character players, too. I don't hear much about him anymore.
Mark Long Beach Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Man, that article and this thread were all sorts of win. Thanks, BB! Agreed, all kinds of win. Thanks Beerball!
yungmack Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Good article. Thanks. Does make me shake my head in frustration that the Bills didn't grab Maurice Drew when they had the chance. For some reason, OBD just wasn't listening to me. Go figure.
