SDS Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Jay and I, and possibly Jack, have showed interest so far. Who is up for golfing on Saturday? Let's try and get a few groups. If enough people signup, we can hold a few contests for longest drive, closest to the pin, etc... Course has not been chosen, but we can decide together based upon whether we want to go economy or quality. So, get off your lazy butts and spend a nice afternoon out on the links!
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Here's what we did last year: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=93307&view=findpost&p=1557411
LewPort71 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I'd like to tee it up with fellow TBDers. The new course in Lewiston.. Seneca Hickory Stick has been recenlty opened. Cost is approx $80. The course is awesome and worth the price. I'd better check with Mrs. Lew first.

If some guys need to go "economy" by necessity would you be opposed to that?
WVUFootball29 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Hey boys, I'd like to golf again this year. Problem is I'm interviewing for a couple of jobs this week and may no longer be in Western NY at the time. I'll know more by the end of the week.
Just Jack Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Sounds good Lew. I''ll put you down as a "quality" advocate. If some guys need to go "economy" by necessity would you be opposed to that? I'm an economy person

LewPort71 Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I played the course in early August... It is nice...and yes,,,just down the road from the alma mater. Go Lancers
5 Wide Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I played the course in early August... It is nice...and yes,,,just down the road from the alma mater. Go Lancers I played the week it opened..... it still needed to grow in a little bit, but the layout is fun.
TPS Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Any decisions yet? I'm checking with the wife for permission... Time? Place? Enough people for more than one group?
SDS Posted September 3, 2010 Author Posted September 3, 2010 Ok, let's get this finalized: 1. SDS 2. Jay 3. LewPort71 4. Carl (SDS's brother) 5. WVUFootball29 6. 7. 8. 1:12 and 1:20 PM (if we have a 2nd group) at Diamond Hawk. Course Info: 255 Sonwil Drive Cheektowaga NY 14225 716-651-0700 http://www.diamondhawkgolf.com Very easy to get to, near the airport. Get off 90 at Transit Rd (Depew Exit) go south to 33 W (toward airport), go 1 mile & turn left at NOCO station, course is 1/2 mile down on left. Do we want to go 9 or 18?
WVUFootball29 Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 count me in if we can get enough interest for the second 4some
SDS Posted September 3, 2010 Author Posted September 3, 2010 count me in if we can get enough interest for the second 4some Just getting a list together! One more and we'll have 2 three's. I assume Jack is playing, so that would be #6.
Just Jack Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 I won't be able to play that early, got things in the morning to take care of, probably won't make Buffalo till 2-3pm at the earliest if everything goes smoothly.

That is getting pretty late to start even 9 holes. Maybe you could just join us part way through?
LewPort71 Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 If the group tees off at 1:00 or so,,, and Jack arrives at ~ 2:30, he could join for the back nine.

I hope they have worked on speeding up play there, the last time it was almost a 5-hour round (that's not a comment about MY play either).
