LABills08 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Per Allen Wilson's Twitter, Matthews just got injured, tweaked his ankle. With Schouman and Nelson out, Stupar is the only one left. That aint good.
rackemrack Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 i'm waiting for the text "the bills sign TE Joe Klopfenstein to the active roster" then "the bills released TE Joe Klopfenstein" the same day...
San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 i'm waiting for the text "the bills sign TE Joe Klopfenstein to the active roster" then "the bills released TE Joe Klopfenstein" the same day... Pretty sure JK is on IR. So that's one less option.
rackemrack Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Pretty sure JK is on IR. So that's one less option. oh man we're F'ed
Guest dog14787 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Good grief, I wonder how well James Hardee can block
Bob in STL Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Pretty sure JK is on IR. So that's one less option. He is on IR. I think Ernie Warlick is still our best bet.
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Martin Rucker was signed by the Cowboys two days ago. Damn.
The Dean Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Per Allen Wilson's Twitter, Matthews just got injured, tweaked his ankle. With Schouman and Nelson out, Stupar is the only one left. That aint good. Oh my. I wonder if Stupar will make the 53 man roster? Perhaps someone should start a thread discussing that "possibility"
DanInUticaTampa Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) Oh my. I wonder if Stupar will make the 53 man roster? Perhaps someone should start a thread discussing that "possibility" better yet, make 3 or 4 of them! Edited August 23, 2010 by DanInUticaTampa
The Dean Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 better yet, make 3 or 4 of them! It's early. Be careful what you wish for.
Acantha Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Martin Rucker was signed by the Cowboys two days ago. Damn. Doesn't sound like he's doing that well considering he was let go from the Bucs for failing a physical. Probably not the guy we need to jump right in to the lineup. As far as I can tell, Michael Gaines is out there. He showed glimpses of talent while he was here and would at least be a body until we get Nelson back. I think LJ Smith is available too. Not sure what his deal is. He was injured a lot last season, not sure if he's still broke.

Probably not the guy we need to jump right in to the lineup. You may be right, but based on how great he looked in college, I'd be all for taking a flier on him. People were writing off Vernon Davis a year or two ago, too.
kasper13 Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Wouldn't be surprised if they just hold open tryouts this week. Injuries are getting to be totally ridiculous.
evilbuffalobob Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I have reason to believe that BOTH Dan Campbell AND Michael Gaines are available.
The Jokeman Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Here's a good link to who's available, KFFL 2010 NFL Free Agent TEs It appears that the aforementioned Michael Gaines and LJ Smith are available. Another interesting name would be Alex Smith who I think has a history with Trent at Stanford.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 UB had a good TE named Jesse Rack. He was invited to Jets camp but didn't stick. PTR
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) Chris Brown from BB.com chimes in with his "realistic" TE options for the Bills. http://blogs.buffalo...tic-te-options/ I didn't realize that Colin Peek was released recently from Atlanta, I really liked him coming out of college and he does have connections with Gailey. Methinks thats our man. Edited August 23, 2010 by BillsGuyInOrchardPark
Peace Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Steve Johnson is about as speedy as a tight end. Do it Chan.
