KurtGodel77 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Today, through three quarters: Lee Evans, 110 yards, 2 TDs. Eric Moulds: 68 yards, 1 TD.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Moulds draws coverage away. Think Peerless in 2002.
daquixers Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Absolutely - I believe Don Criqui said in the 3rd quarter Moulds was attracting double coverage.
KurtGodel77 Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 Moulds draws coverage away. Think Peerless in 2002. 146646 Lee Evans is better than Peerless.
KRT88 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Lee Evans is better than Peerless. 146655 I don't agree but he has progressed much faster than Price did. I three years time Evans will be far better than than Price ever was.
34-78-83 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 evans is definitely better than Peerless, but don't be suckered into believing Moulds isn't drawing the best cover men and double-teams.
daquixers Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Eric is catching balls while being double covered.
KurtGodel77 Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 Eric is catching balls while being double covered. 146676 Yeah, but a lot of that is because Drew has a tendency to look first to Moulds before he looks to Evans.
Pete Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Lee is better then Peerless but Eric is better then both of them.
daquixers Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Yeah, but a lot of that is because Drew has a tendency to look first to Moulds before he looks to Evans. 146687 And Drew looking at Moulds makes him able to catch balls in double coverage?
KurtGodel77 Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 And Drew looking at Moulds makes him able to catch balls in double coverage? 146690 What I'm saying is this: if I'm Eric Moulds, any time I get open the ball will be thrown my way, because I'm the first guy Drew looks at. But if I'm Lee Evans, I'll only get the ball thrown my way some of the time after getting open, because I'm the second or third option.
KurtGodel77 Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 It seems to me that when Peerless was here, Eric had a lot of 100 yard games. Now that Evans is here to stretch defenses, you'd think Moulds'd be having a lot of 100 yard games again. He hasn't and to me that's a sign he's declined.
Corp000085 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 watch primetime tonight. i bet you'll see moulds td

Eric had how many passes thrown to him today? Look at Price since he left Buffalo. He has done zilch. It is much easier to be a #2 than #1.Example #2 Alvin Harper - Played great as #2 behind Irvin, signed $ with Bucs-never heard from again.

Look at his long TD catch. It only happens because the D collapses down on Moulds and doubles him. Pretty numbers don't tell the entire story. Moulds is, by far, the best WR on this team and defenses know it, it's why they continually double down on him.
YOOOOOO Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 The Dolphins seemed to think so....On the 69 YD TD....3 of the Dolphins DB's flocked to Moulds and let Evans run down the sideline uncovered(they also did the same on Evans other TD)....
Toledo Bill Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 I am thrilled to death that that question can even be asked!!!!
Oneida Lake Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Both good receivers for this team. Moulds has played as an excellent "possession" receiver Evans as a great "burner". You need both.
BillsSouth Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Moulds is better, hands down. Take him away and Lee´s production tails off more than if you do the opposite.

Evans is a good #2 WR now, but he is not yet as good as Moulds.
