ACor58 Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 Link? Nothing on BB.com yet. PTR I just got the text for vzw. That must be why he didn't play last night.
Gabe Northern Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Text from Bills I'm hoping steroids to get bigger/stronger to block in run game. At least that would show dedication. Plus steroids is a one-strike suspension. If this is drugs it means it was his second positive test.
BarkLessWagMore Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 just received the v-text. No additional details.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 link on BB.com now up. No reason given for suspension. PTR

tbonestake Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Stupar = starter. PTR http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/38787292/ns/...ts-player_news/ WTF?! You can get suspended for 4 games for not being able to block? That sucks for him
DC Tom Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 WTF?! You can get suspended for 4 games for not being able to block? That sucks for him So when's Jason Peters' suspension going to be handed down?
Gabe Northern Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 One wonders whether his fall to the 4th round was due, in part, to his drug use. Again, substance abuse program requires 2 positive tests for suspension. The first puts you in the program. You should never have a first positive test because you know when the test occurs. Once in the program, testing occurs randomly. The second positive test gets you a 4 game suspension. This means Nelson likely tested positive when he reported to camp last year or at the combine. There is also a reasonable suspicion standard, but that generally requires legal imbroglio (getting pulled over while smoking a blunt, for example, even if no drug charges are filed).
tbonestake Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 So when's Jason Peters' suspension going to be handed down? Somebody call the cops! You just murdered Jason Peters!!!
Cugalabanza Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 He is, almost literally, pissing his life away.
bowery4 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Damn, so 1st Scholman out again and now this, down to 2 TEs we go.
tbonestake Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Damn, so 1st Scholman out again and now this, down to 2 TEs we go. On a positive note, Pete Metzelaars is still available
Skoobydum Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 This will make keeping 5 RB that much easier.
Bob in STL Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 On a positive note, Pete Metzelaars is still available No he isn't. He has a coaching job with the Colts. Maybe Ernie Warlick is looking for work?
ACor58 Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 If the NFL really wants the guys to stop using drugs they should hand out mandatory 16 game suspensions, which in theory could carry over to another season. On a side note, the only thing that former 49er Eric Johnson is doing right now is Jessica Simpson so he is available.
