San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 19, 2010 Share Posted August 19, 2010 That was a great team--Isaiah Robertson, Smerlas, Haslett, Fergy, Shane Nelson, Jerry Butler, et al were great fun to root for after so many losing years..... Forgot we had Isaiah! That was a fun team. Maybe that's where we are heading. I just hope we don't end up another Mike McBath, Julian Nunamaker, Al Cowlings - type era. Joe Cribbs, Curtis Brown, Roosevelt Leaks, Roland Hooks…Frank Lewis, Lou Piccone, Mark Brammer, Phil Villapiano, Steve Freeman, Sherman White, Ben Williams, Charles Romes, Ervin "Blue" Parker, an aging Reggie McKenzie, Lucius Sanford, Jeff Nixon, and a great O-line with Will Grant, Tim Vogler, Ken Jones and Joe Devlin. Chuck Knox built an outstanding football team, one of the best in team history. He is one of the greatest coaches not in the Hall of Fame and there's no telling how far that team would have gone had Fergy not been injured.
