The Dean
Richie was a founding member of the USA's premier genre crossing group of the 1970's. Often overlooked in the discussion of great drummers, Hayward could really play and helped shape the Feat's unique style. Here's to Richie and one for Lowell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmG8sdaeCYk (bad recording) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMEkR3YRUnQ...feature=related
The Senator
Didn't know he had been ill for some time - I'll be listening to my own Little Feat retrospective all day. RIP Richie, and Cheers!!!!
Chef Jim
I saw them at Artpark when i was back in WNY a couple of weeks ago. I was wondering why he wasn't there. I did some research and found out he was sick. Had no idea how sick he was. Damn, RIP Richie. Being a drummer myself Richie was a hero
SageAgainstTheMachine
Thanks for the info, Dean. I'm DJing right now, so I'll be sure to play some Little Feat to honor Richie.

The Dean
Or deeper Is Richie on that really old Factory tune? Wasn't Dallas Taylor the drummer before Hayward?
The Dean
Is Richie on that really old Factory tune? Wasn't Dallas Taylor the drummer before Hayward? I think I just found the answer. According to the all-knowing Wikipedia, Hayward replaced Taylor in Sept, 1966. So unless this song was recorded a bit earlier, it would he Hayward. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lowell_George
