TigerJ Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Hard to beat Star Wars for good swashbuckling fun. Close Encounters and Contact are probably better "serious science fiction," though.I was a Trekkie once. In retrospect Star Trek, the Next Generation was done better than the slightly campy original. It goes way back but "My Favorite Martian" with Bill Bixby and Ray Walston was fun. More recently it was Mork (was that the name of the series?) with Robin Williams and Pam Dawber. That lasted a couple seasons too long though.

Alaska Darin Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Laugh if you must, but I'm to die for in fishnets and stilletoes. I was all the rage in Indiana. 146074 Start cheering now haters. I may be away from the board for a few days while the wounds heal from the mental equivalent of sticking crab forks in my eyes. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
BigDaddy12 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Another Aliens fan. Hudson: "Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?" Vasquez: "No. Have you?"
Guest Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Here's a few that I think are classic and some other good Sci Fi movies: John Carpenter's The Thing 146093 No mention of John Carpenter's "They Live" or "Escape From New York" yet? Tsk.
SilverNRed Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 "Star Wars" (the orignal, the new ones are horrendously awful) 146090 I've said this a few times, but if you watch the original trilogy and really pay attention, the prequels write themselves. The story, as described by Obi-Wan in TESB and ROTJ, was great. How they screwed up the new ones, I'll never know.

Did anyone see 'Dune' am I the only one?

Paul: Stilgar, do we have wormsign? Stilgar: Usul, we have wormsign the likes of which even God has never seen. Loved the blacklight/blue spice eyes on the womenfolk.
