Doc Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Yes, he was this year's version of Joey Galloway. Belichick is such a genius. Hey, at least he might have the good sense to jettison Holt before the season, unlike with Galloway. Do you think they'll bring back Junior Seau this year? Shawn Springs? I sure hope so.
Buffalonian-at-Heart Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I always liked Torry & he can teach our young guys a few tricks. I just don't know if he is all washed up or enough about it to comment intelligently, maybe someone here does. Who would you cut to make room for Holt?
Sisyphean Bills Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Who would you cut to make room for Holt? James Hardly?
Red Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Just because he used to be great and won a Super Bowl with the Rams, does not mean he has still got gas in the tank. Now, if the news was that the Pats were cutting their LT Lyght, then I would say "Get 'r done!!!"
The Dean Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 The Bills should wait for the Pats* to cut Aiken. They should never have let that stud go! He's been VERY productive for the Pats*.
BillsneedaSuperbowl Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 i dont think its abad move. he seems to still have some juice in the tank. could anyone enlighten me to why the rams cut him and what his stats were las year? thanks.
Doc Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Here's hoping Moss is gone at the end of the season.
billsfan89 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I would but I don't think the Front office wants a guy like Holt eating up snaps out other younger players might be getting.
Alphadawg7 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 The Pats seem likely to keep six or seven receivers, but special teamers Sam Aiken and Matthew Slater are ticketed for those final two spots. Holt was already behind the eight-ball before missing this week's practices with an undisclosed injury. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...7828&id=412 Come on now...Torry Holt? If he cant even carve out a spot in NE then how is he going to help this team? Whats it going to take for people to understand that this is the first year of a new system and new staff and that we NEED to use this year to evaluate and develop all these young players hanging around on our own roster? What good would come from cutting one of our young guys (who according to reports are all mostly having good camps) to sign an aging Vet who wont help this team anyway and will be out of the league next year (or maybe this year)? The excuse that our young guys can learn from him stuff is a mute point. Our young guys got to learn from one of the hardest working WR's of all time in TO...say what you want about him, but he is still one of the most dedicated and hardest working guys out there on that proactice field and always working to further master his craft. Now its time for these young guys to show us what they learned thus far out there on the field.
BillsFanInLV Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 We should bring Jerry Rice out of Retirement and sign him! * pun intended
