Numark Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I remember everyone got excited when we signed him as a UFA, anything new about him. I never really see him mentioned in any reports and training camp threads?

eball Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 On a roster that includes Spiller, Lynch, and Jackson...good luck, Joique.
Pilsner Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 On a roster that includes Spiller, Lynch, and Jackson...good luck, Joique. Personally I hope we find a way to keep him. He's been a slightly pleasant surprise. If Chan doesn't see much use in a FB and if he plans on eventually trading Lynch, then by all means keep Joique. He is starting to remind me of a younger Fred Jackson.
High Mark Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 From my one night at TC, #30 Chad Simpson was clearly that better runner and that opinion was was obviously shared by the coaching staff in his amount of reps in relation to Bells. Simpson got the most reps of any back there, albeit it was before Spiller signed and Jackson/Lynch obviously 1/2 before him. He turned his carries into some pretty nice runs too, with 1 or 2 would be TDs. If we keep a 4th tailback, its Simpson at this point. He also was Indys return man last season which may give him some extra value as a return man.

You were there and I wasn't. So you have a little bit better perspective on him compared to Simpson. Actually I had a temporary lapse and forgot we had a Chad Simpson. But since u were there and u say Simpson was doing better, then for the time being i will defer to your judgement. But then it was only one day of practice and everyone has their off days. If it's Bell or Simpson, i hope the better consistent man gets a roster spot.
Mike32282 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I've been to camp many times and I love Joique Bell. He's gotten a lot of reps and shows really good speed and nice hands. I think we'll keep 4 RBs and he will be the 4th. Chad Simpson won't make it...we dont need another kr. McKelvin or Spiller will do that, IMO.
