DC Tom
That movie [The Expendables] looks great, in a cheesy-'80s action flick sense. Follow up: it was. I couldn't even tell you what the plot was. Stallone fights Steve Austin, Jet Li fights Dolph Lundgren, guns are fired, **** blows up. The entire movie was completely unnecessary, and all the better for it.

I was so set on seeing it this weekend but ended up moving into a new place instead (weird turn of events). Anyway, can't wait! I still wish Jean Claude's pansy ass would have been in this. If Arnold and Bruce can contribute a cameo, fuggin Jean Claude can spend a day filming something too. Would have been nice to have a more complete gathering of 80s action stars. Oh well, fugg'em. Guy has ONE film that gets some critical attention (JCVD), and all of a sudden he's too busy for Stallone.
Jerry Christ
I think most of us are beyond the target age group for that one. sheesh well I'm not but yet I would hope that you "being old" would not deter you from being open minded

But anyway, what I meant with that comment was that the movie and it's ads made it seem like the target audience was the high school crowd. I may very well have been wrong, but I never saw what the appeal of that movie was.

I understand what you are getting at...... but sometimes I like stupid movies if you get me, the kind you don't have to pay attention to but still get a few laughs. Superbad was a prime example, just laughable.
