The Dean Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 4 RBs and a FB? Seems a bit heavy at that position. I think Hardy makes the team, too.
Coach55 Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 4 RBs and a FB? Seems a bit heavy at that position. I think Hardy makes the team, too. I agree that 4 RB is heavy, but Bell is looking too good to cut. Unless they move Lynch, I see them keeping 4. I am on the fence w Hardy, as Gailey said he may only keep 5 at WR - meaning he will keep another ST player elsewhere. So I think they keep Huggins over Hardy since he is good on ST.
Green Lightning Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 4 RBs and a FB? Seems a bit heavy at that position. I think Hardy makes the team, too. I have to question why keep a fullback at all if you have RB's we do and the use of CJ in the slot, on the move and in a possible wildcat formation. As for Hardy, from what I'm reading he's not getting separation needed to play as a starter, but I think he sticks for another year.
Numark Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Either Bell OR McIntyre make the team. No way both do
Whitey13 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 The way Ellis has showed up this camp dont be surprised if he makes it. All the first team reps he is taking because of Kelseys Injury is just impressing the coaches more
justnzane Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 from what I saw, I agree on the 4 RB's+1FB. Hardy hasn't shown enough from what I saw and read. I think Shouman makes it over Mathews. My predictions: Jamon Meredith will start week 1, probably at LT. Torbor and Maybin will be the starting OLB's If they keep one more receiver, it will be Roosevelt as he really has impressed me when I have been at SJFC.
ChanOverChin Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 My prediction for the 53 man roster at this point is as follows: QB - Edwards, Brohm, Fitzpatrick RB - Jackson, Spiller, Lynch, Simpson FB - McIntyre WR - Evans, Johnson, Parrish, Hardy, Jackson, Easley TE - Nelson, Stupar, Schouman OT - Bell, Green, Meredith, Wang OG - Wood, Levitre, Chambers, Calloway C - Hangartner DE - Stroud, Edwards, Carrington, Johnson, McCargo NT - Williams, Troup OLB - Kelsay, Maybin, Torbor, Ellis ILB - Mitchell, Posluszny, Davis, Moats FS - Byrd, Wilson SS - Whitner, Scott CB - McGee, McKelvin, Florence, Corner, Lankster K - Lindell P - Moorman LS - Sanborn PS - Bell, Roosevelt, Nelson, L. Harvey, Batten, D. Woods, T. Brown. Notable Cuts - Schobel, Ellison, Youboty, Corto. Surprise Players: Ch. Jackson, Lankster, Stupar, Calloway. Batten is good enough to make it, but is injured. Woods and Corto could make it for ST purposes if the coaching staff puts a high priority on that. Ch. Jackson, Lankster, and Stupar have stood out in OTAs/camp thus far among the bubble players.
