I'll admit I've never played organized football, so I've never worn pads and done sprints in the summer heat. And even though it's not the same, I've worked outdoor jobs in this heat and I know that's no fun. I can only imagine how worse it is wearing helmets & pads.

 

If you've been out in the heat doing full-contact drills in pads, then I'm sure you can understand what they're going through and more power to you.

 

I just think it's a bit inappropriate to call these guys "babies" when deaths have occurred to actual NFL players (forget about the general public) during the summer heat.

Are you sure that the night practice is open to the public? I had to get tickets at a Tops - I dont think anyone will be allowed in without a ticket.

 

But you know what, I am glad they cancelled it. Its going to be a circus there with ESPN in town. F that, this is work not some entertainment event. Hopefully thats the reasoning behind it. If it is, thats my first to Gailey.

There is nothing entertaining about ESPN.

 

I don't see Gailey and/or Nix being to impressed with Schefter or ESPN, and wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't canceled with tongue in cheek.

fair enough, but I still find it funny that ppl think its too hot up there, if thats the case I would recommend never taking a summer trip past VA, cause its downright awful in the summer time in a t-shirt, much less pads

Well I hope to hell when they go to Miami it's not 90 and humid, but maybe the NFL will let them cancel that game as well. I'm having flashbacks of a spineless coach/team from the past 3+ years.
