mike oxhurtz Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Reports indicate that Brett Favre will NOT return to the Minnesota Vikings this year. Per Judd Zulgad and Jay Glazer.
Zulu Cthulhu Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Sirius NFL radio reports multiple sources have heard Brett is retiring for the 3rd time... Sorry no links yet.
Jerry Jabber Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 If that's the case, then the Bills should be able to beat the Vikings this season. Taravis Jackson showed up to camp badly out of shape and is not a good QB to begin with.
mattsox Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Ha, hahahahaha, hahahahaha, hahahahaha. Ok, that was good.
Jerry Jabber Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Tweet from Judd Zulgad: "I'm told Favre has said his ankle has simply not responded and that is why he won't be back."
Coach Tuesday Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 And they could've (and would've) gone after McNabb had they known.

nucci Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 If that's the case, then the Bills should be able to beat the Vikings this season. Taravis Jackson showed up to camp badly out of shape and is not a good QB to begin with. I'm guessing Sage Rosenfels wins the starting job. You're right about Jackson.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 We need to put Childress and Vikings fans on suicide watch.
zevo Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 This is literally a royal screw to the Vikes. Good Qb play is what separates a team from Super Bowl contender to 7-9. If I were a Vikes fan I would be absolutely POed. Dreams shattered before the season even begins.
RayFinkle Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 That is a shame. I know Favre waffling has become a punchline, but he was always a must watch player for me. He'll be missed....
Fixxxer Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 We need to put Childress and Vikings fans on suicide watch. Indeed, that is a huge blow, now your season is not so certain. To those with the wish of a QB next year, we have more competition.
Skoobydum Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 We need to put Childress and Vikings fans on suicide watch. I have a neighbor that is the worlds biggest Viking's fan and is going to have all his belt, ties and guitar strings taken away from him.
BuffaloWings Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 And they could've (and would've) gone after McNabb had they known. Ding. Ding. This isn't over and I won't officially believe it until I don't see him on any field in Week 1.
billsfreak Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 It is only a couple days into camp, give it a few weeks when they get closer to breaking camp and it might just change.
C.Biscuit97 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I love Farve and wish he comes back. It is just fun to watch him play the game. Anyone who questions how hard this must be for Farve has never played football. If he truly is done, I wish him the best. One of my favorite non-Bills ever. And Taravis Jackson is a lot better than people are giving him credit for. I think the Vikes are going to the playoffs regardless.
Delete This Account Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 i'm surprised they didn't draft Colt McCoy ... oh, wait. wrong thread. ... jw
