After four years I finally got around to buying EA Sports' NFL Head Coach (the original, not the updated one). I took the Bills job, drafted Ngata instead of L'il Donte, traded for Phillip Rivers and Michael Turner, picked up Roman Phifer, Dan Neil, Givens, Gbaja-Biamila, Chris Simms, and re-signed Clements, Sam Adams, and a few others. Switched to the 3-4 on D and got Roscoe more involved. Won all 4 pre-season games and last night had this beauty:

Bills 21, Patriots 0 (in Foxboro)

Brady's QB rating was 19.8 (Rivers' was well over 100).

Roscoe caught 2 TDs including a 70+ yard bomb.

McGahee had a 72 yard TD run.

The D had 3 INTs and several sacks.

Bills O-line gave up only one sack.

Pats had a tad over 100 yards in the air and less than 40 on the ground.

So, the conclusion is that the Bills should have hired me instead of Dick(less) Jauron in '06. :D

Oh, and my starting fullback is Kevin Everett. B-)

Back when NFL 2K5 came out the Bills were a stacked team. Bledsoe wasn't mobile but he had a gun and decent accuracy, McGahee and Henry were a nice tandem at RB, Moulds was highly rated and Evans was decent as a rookie. The D was one of the best in the game, Adams and Pat Williams were two big hippos that stuffed up the middle, Schobel was rushing off the edge, Fletcher and Spikes anchored the Linebacking staff, Clements was a shut down corner, Troy Vincent and Lawyer Miloy were highly rated players in the secondary as well.

All in all the last time the Bills were highly rated was around 2004-2005 video games.

So in hindsight it seems like the Bills might have been headed in the right direction until Marv and Dick(less) showed up.

No they collapsed after their 9-7 almost made the playoffs season. They rushed JP in and the team still had no O-line, Tightend, or opposite pass rush threat to Schobel. When Marv and Dick showed up the team was coming off of a 5-11 season.

traded for Phillip Rivers and Michael Turner

Ahh, video games. Who exactly did you trade to acquire those two guys? And why didn't you get Antonio Gates while you were at it. Our TEs suck.

I honestly don't remember who I traded for them, but it wasn't anyone of consequence. Recall that in '06 both were backups.
