The trap play is a lost art, isnt it?

My coach was in love with running with the fullback. Our fullback was slow and not really all that powerful, but for some reason Coach loved to run those plays.

I like a good quick-hitting fullback trap over the two hole.

I miss seeing us run the counter trey back in the day with Thurman. Remember seeing the beauty of it unfolding, two linemen pulling, one kicking out, one turning in and blocking the inside or to the 2nd level. The play took time, and patience for Thurman to read how the blocks went, but wow it was amazing to watch. To me watching them was like seeing the final thrusts being put into a defense. Their dieing gasps. Thurman could run it like no other. Plus it helped we had good linemen who knew what they were doing B-)

I've always enjoyed a well-executed timing pass pattern where the QB delivers the ball on the money, hitting the receiver in stride. Usually on an inside slant and done in a way where it's designed for the receiver to find a soft spot between LB and safety. It's a play that happens fast and all of a sudden you have a player running full speed in the open field.

Lots of QBs are very good at this. We haven't seen one in Buffalo since probably year one of the Bledsoe era.

Can';t remember the last time we tried timing passes.

For me, nothing is more exciting than watching a punt or kickoff return for a touchdown.

Love seeing someone take it the distance, bobbing and weaving through traffic while his teammates throw great blocks.
